*Shay's POV*
I woke up feeling my heart drop to my stomach, making it hard for me to breathe. Today was my wedding day, I loved Josh will all my heart? But was I ready to get married? I was only 19 and still in school. Josh was only about 22 and he was at the peak of his career. Was he ready?
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard someone knocking at the door. I actually jumped and yelped a little bit as I combed my hair back with my fingers.
"Come in..." I said, not knowing whether I actually wanted anyone to be around me at the moment. I wanted Josh, but everyone said it was bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. I looked at the now open door and saw Niall, smiling at me. "Hi, Nialler. What's up?"
Niall shut the door behind him and walked over to me, sitting on the foot of my bed. I noticed that he had dark circles under his eyes and I knew they were probably from Jillian's weird cravings at weird times. Last week, at around three in the morning, she called asking to borrow some ham. I put a hand on Niall's knee as he stifled a yawn. He smiled of appreciation and I smiled back, despite the huge butterflies that filled my stomach.
"Josh is nervous." Niall admitted, smiling at me. I nodded, processing the information as Niall smiled at me again. "But he loves the idea of spending the rest of his life with you, Shay."
I smiled, happy that josh is still going to go through with the marriage. I sighed and fell back, letting my head hit the soft hotel room pillow. Somehow, the boys were able to rent out an ENTIRE hotel for us, so that no paps or crazy fans could ruin our moment. I smiled as Niall lied next to me, yawning again.
"So when are you Jillian finally getting married? You've been engaged for almost 6 months now." I said, chuckling. Niall rubbed his eyes and sighed.
"When Paige and Caleb are old enough to stand on their own. We can't get married now. Jill's already 8 months pregnant." Niall said, sounding tired yet excited. "Hopefully that's sooner than we think."
"You're going to be a great father, Niall. You're already an amazing husband, an amazing friend. You're basically going to be the best father ever." I said, patting his hand softly. Niall rolled over and was facing me. I saw a look of fear and nervousness in his eyes.
"Shay, what if I ruin their childhood? What if I screw up?" His voice came out as more of a squeak that anything else. I shook my head, sighing.
"With a godmother like me, those kids couldn't be more screwed up!" I said, hearing Niall's booming laugh. I giggled along and watched as he stood up. I laced my fingers behind my head and looked up at him. The dark circles almost completely vanished and he had a smile on his face.
"Shay, I think you have to get ready for your wedding." Niall offered his arm as I stood up and linked my arm with his. We walked to the dining hall and I saw that everyone was seated, eating breakfast. Well, almost everyone. I frowned as I stood frozen at the doorway.
"Where's Josh?" I asked, feeling a pang of sorrow hit my heart as I looked for any traces of him. Niall patted my hand softly as we walked towards our friends, who were all looking at me with smiles on their faces.
"He had breakfast earlier. He can't see you until the wedding, remember?"
I nodded as I sat next to Emily, who now sported a one month baby bump and a ring the size of a marble. In fact, everyone at the table was either engaged or pregnant. Emily and Jazmine were already about a month along and they recently found out that there was a big chance that that were going to have their babies on the same day. Kassie and tishana were both engaged to be married soon. Jillian... You already know!
