Silverfang swerved to the left, following Icetail. The older dragon folded her wings and descended, landing on her hind claws and sitting on the ground. Silverfang followed suit, skidding on the ground for a few meters before stopping next to Icetail.

"Follow me." Icetail growled, pushing past a steel door and pressing her claw against a scanner on the wall.

    "Access granted."

A concealed door slid open, revealing a small elevator. Silverfang sat on the floor of the elevator while Icetail pressed her foreclaw against another scanner.

    "Access granted."

The elevator lurched and suddenly dropped. Right before Silverfang felt as if it would never reach the end, the elevator suddenly jolted to a halt. Icetail tapped a button, and the doors slid open again. She stepped out, motioning to Silverfang to follow. Icetail tapped something on her wrist, flashing it in front of the far end of the empty room. A door slid open, and a dragon in a white lab coat stepped out. His nametag read: DR. AMNITE. The doctor had a pair of safety goggles on his head, and a bag with a biohazard sign on it in his claw.

"Hello, Silverfang. I am Dr. Amnite. Welcome to the base lab of the Academy, where scientists reside."

Dr. Amnite walked swiftly toward the lab, dropping off the bag in a red container. Another dragon scientist picked it up and pressed a label onto it. Dr. Amnite continued toward the far end of the lab before turning left and heading down a hallway with several doors. He pushed open one of the doors, revealing a large, dark room. Two machines were mounted on the walls to produce a room-wide hologram. It displayed a blueprint of the entire lab, with small captions on the sides and near certain rooms to label them and display information about them. Dr. Amnite tapped a box on the screen, and a section of the floor sank down. A large dentist chair replaced it. It had a large light above the headrest, and on its right-claw side had a touchscreen machine with several buttons on the top. On the chair's left, a simple scanner rose out of the ground. "Sit." Icetail instructed. Silverfang sat on the chair, resting her head on the padded headrest. "Place your claw on the scanner." Dr. Amnite said. Silverfang placed her left foreclaw on the scanner. Dr. Amnite put on a helmet of some kind and attached wires with suction cups on the bottom to Silverfang's face and claws. Serpentis flew off Silverfang's head, landing on Icetail's wing.

Dr. Amnite's claws clicked on the screen as he prepared to scan Silverfang into the system. A green laser ran over Silverfang's entire body, and two cushioned metal bars slid over her torso. "Eyes wide," Dr. Amnite said before flashing a laser over Silverfang's eye. The dragon blinked, trying to get rid of the black spots dancing in her vision. "Dr. Tetraxinum, the scanner says 451!" Dr. Amnite yelled. A dragon with a clipboard entered the room, a pen floating next to her. She picked up the pen and scribbled something on the clipboard. "What else?" Dr. Amnite ran several more tests, shouting the results to Dr. Tetraxinum, who jotted them down and then fed them to a machine. "Okay. You're good to go. Here's your ID and its case. It has your DRID on it, along with other important information. Icetail will deliver your health file to the medical doctors. You should head to the mess hall now. Good day, Silverfang." The case was a simple clear card cover and a long, thick string that Silverfang could hang around her neck. Dr. Amnite waved Silverfang goodbye, and Serpentis flapped onto Silverfang's wrist. "Come on. Let's go and meet up with the Aurae team.

Silverfang followed the various signs around the Academy, finally arriving at the mess hall. Loud chatter echoed from the room down the hallway. Silverfang pulled her ID out of the case, swiping it in a wall slot. "Access granted." The steel doors slid open, revealing several long tables with seats attached to them. Silverfang located the Aurae team's table almost immediately and flew to join her friends. "Hey!" she called to Steamblade, who was sitting closest to the door. "Silverfang! Where have you been?" Silverfang flashed her ID at her friends. "I've got a lot to explain. Can someone get me some lunch?" Silverfang explained the entire situation to her friends while eating roast klundger meat and kirfit leaves along with a thin layer of taynoise sauce and a cup of water. "A quest?" Flashscar asked Silverfang after she finished explaining everything. "Yeah," Silverfang replied with a swig of water. "Saving the-" The dragon shoved some klundger into her mouth before continuing, "Kingdom of Elementals and stuff. I also need to get training from some guy named the Master, who will, quote unquote, 'teach you how to tame your powers'. Venomwing frowned. "Strange, indee-" She was cut off by the loudspeakers announcing, "Students, lunchtime is over. Please return to your cabin and stay there until tomorrow. Thank you, and good night." Silverfang tilted her head slightly to the right, and asked, "Wait, where are the cabins?" Flashscar threw a claw around Silverfang's shoulder, laughing. "Don't worry. We got that all covered."
