Silverfang awoke early in the morning the next day, uncurling and reaching down to let Serpentis leap onto her arm. The dragon rubbed the sleep out of her eyes wearily and turned on the water in the bathtub. She let Serpentis swim around for a bit while she brushed her fangs before getting a soft brush, spraying bubbles on it, and scrubbing the creature down. Dirt and grime were sucked down the drain while leaving the clean water there. Silverfang left the serpent to play in the water while she went downstairs, following the scent of food and the sound of frying. "Hey Steamblade." Steamblade was frying morning petil stem while chopping up some dragonfruit. "You're up early," he remarked. "Yeah. What delicious recipe are we eating for breakfast today?" she asked while grabbing a glass and pouring herself some chiss, a caffeine filled drink that was milky brown. "We're eating healthy today," Steamblade replied. "Boiled and then lightly fried petil stem with several fruits." Silverfang nodded, heading upstairs again to get Serpentis. The little serpent wriggled in her grasp while Silverfang dried it off. It hissed and inflated its frill, shaking to fling the droplets off. Silverfang let Serpentis curl up on her head before she headed downstairs again.
"Oh! I have something special just for Serpentis," Steamblade said. "I researched a bit on its species. Apparently they like eating vollen and kirfit leaves. I already hunted some vollen and gathered kirfit leaves before." A growl came from upstairs, followed by a heavy yawn. Someone trudged toward a door and slammed it shut. The sound of running water followed shortly after. Steamblade shrugged before chopping up some lightly cooked vollen, putting it in a bowl, and then placing kirfit leaves on top. Serpentis jumped off Silverfang's head, and within seconds, it had already begun nibbling on the meal. Silverfang picked up the bowl and placed it on the table, along with a plate full of lightly fried petil and fresh fruit. She sat down, placing her cup of chiss near the plate. She took a sip before grabbing her fork and stabbing a piece of fruit. "Mmmm..." she said. "Deelicious!" Steamblade nodded, continuing to cook the same meal for himself and the rest of the Aurae team. Suddenly, Frozenclaw stumbled downstairs, yawning. "Hey. What did I miss?"
Steamblade helped Silverfang and Frozenclaw drag two sleepy dragons out of bed and to the dining room. "Argh..." Flashscar yelled groggily. "Can't this wait? I didn't say goodbye to my bed..." Silverfang rolled her eyes. "TODAY IS THE DAY WE LEAVE FOR THE QUEST, FLASHSCAR." she yelled back. Flashscar blinked, remembering, before replying, "Oh yeah." Frozenclaw laughed lightly, and Silverfang smiled. Once the two dragons finished eating, the group headed out to meet Icetail at the training post in Dragon Central.
"Is everyone here?" Icetail asked, clipboard in claw. "Flashscar, Silverfang, Frozenclaw, Steamblade, Venomwing, Scorchtail?" The dragons nodded and stepped foward as their names were called. "Serpentis?" The little snake hissed. "Packs ready?" The group nodded, slinging the lightweight packs over their shoulders. Silverfang reached into her own, pulling out a short dagger that she slid into her weapon belt. Serpentis leaped into a small pocket on her bag, poking its head out. "Okay. I already alerted Goldenscale of our depart." Icetail handed the clipboard to another dragon, who rushed to a computer room. She pulled out a sword of her own, slotted it, and then took out a flat, tablet-like device. There was a simple button on the bottom. Icetail tapped it, and a hologram floated into the air. "This is the HoloMap. It is programmed to respond to my voice, but I can transfer it to someone else if I need to." The group nodded. Icetail tapped the map's screen, flicking it to pan the area around the Academy. "Okay. We have to head North, past the Forest of Mysteries, over the Death Mountains, and into a swampy area. I can't see anything beyond that, but the map says that the Kingdom of Elementals is North of here." The dragons shuffled around, adjusting straps and fidgeting with their belts. "Let's begin!"
