With the help of Nathan we managed to unpack his car of all my groceries into the kitchen. A pepperoni and Hawiian pizza were cooking in the over as we emptied all the bags of food into the cupboards. I never expected Nathan to be so kind. Maybe his mum gave him a good slap around the ears telling him to behave? That single thought made a small giggle to leave my lips. Hiding my red face in the cupboard as I fake stacked the cans of baked beans.
"What's so funny?" Nathan questioned. I spun around and in the process whacked my head on the corner of the cupboard door. Groaning in pain I winced as I felt the lump on my skull. Great!
"Shit are you okay?" Nathan approached me taking my hands off of my head examining the bump.
"Ow at least it's not bleeding, here sit down let me get a pack of pees out of the freezer." I obeyed his command. Feeling sheepish as he rushed to the fridge searching for the magical frozen pees. Wrapping a tea towel around the packet he gave me the bundled package. Placing it against my head the cold dampened my hair sending a chill down my spine.
"I feel like I will always need to be around just to make sure you don't kill yourself with a wooden spoon!" He joked and emptied the last bag.
"My hero!" I shot back.
"Anytime darling." He chucked deeply.
"So tell me about yourself? You promised!" He pouted giving me the puppy dog eyes.
"Fine well I guess I should start with my dad! I was only a couple months old when my mum left, why? I don't know that's still a mystery but my dad blamed me for her leaving him. So you can probably guess what my childhood was like." The beeping of the oven intervened my talk.
"Tell me the rest when we're eating." He smiled kindly pulling the pizza's out of the over and placing them on plates. We sat across from each other at the dining table.
"Well anyway I was never aloud to go to a friends house or parties as such. I was always to scared to invite anyone over just incase my dad had one of his outbreaks. So I was a lonely child, he never hit me but he was close to it sometimes." Taking a bite of the hawiian pizza I watched Nathan's face for some kind of reaction. I could see his eyes calculating as he slowly chewed so I continued.
"Then high school! I turned 16 and everything changed well kind of. I got my first boyfriend, quarterback of the football team." Nathan raised a questioning eyebrow.
"American football!" I corrected myself earning a small grin.

"We were that one couple that stayed together all through highschool and then after. Chris was offered a scholarship which he lost because of being caught drinking on school property and that's were it all went downhill. He became an alcoholic and smoked also drugs in his free time which was always." Devouring a slice Nathan still didn't show much of a reaction.
"Why did you stay?" Nathan's question startled me.
"I was afraid of what he would do and I thought I loved him so I stayed I thought he might change but he never did, he kept getting worse especially when he started getting money off random people but never paid them back. It was a mess and I was stuck in the middle of it. Then I found out that I was pregnant, that gave me the confidence and determination to run. So I did. I ran for miles until I met the highway, we lived in a cabin high in the colorado mountains. John picked me up in his truck where he then helped me to the airport. We were walking through the front doors when Chris found me. He punched me right in the face in front of people because I wouldn't go back. John had fought back and gave him a taste of his own medicine. So that's why I had a black eye on the plane." I let out a small laugh going back to my favourite pizza.

"And now your in Scotland!" Nathan said, his voice was small making me look at him.
"I needed to leave America, get as far away as possible, the last words Chris ever said to me was that he would find me and drag me back. It's haunting me honestly, I'm still terrified and feel some time's lonely, I can't wait to have this baby, it will give me something to distract myself with, someone to love and protect with all my heart!" I chocked slightly feeling the tears settle behind my eyes my heart burned thinking about the past.

"Then last month I found out who my mum was, Sylvia Keller. She died last July the same time as my Dad. Then earlier today I found out that i have inherited her whole property and her wealth." I watched him carefully as I felt the single tear slide down my cheek.
"I'm so sorry! No body deserves to go through what you have been." A small sob vibrated through me. Don't cry! Nathan stood up abruptly coming around the table, he lifted my hands pulling me up into a standing position.
"What are you doing?" I asked my voice cracked. Those golden eye's shon as they looked into mine.
"Giving you a hug and promising that I will be here for you!" Wrapping my arms around his neck he pulled my body close hugging me tightly. It felt amazing to hug him.
"Thank you!" I whispered into his chest. His head layatop of mine.
"Anytime darling!" The once mocking tone gone and replaced with a caring tenderness.

We finished our pizza before moving to the couch where Nathan put on the DVD he bought. The Hobbit, I loved the Lord of The Rings movies so this was a dream come true. Eating ice cream we talking through out the movie about his life mostly. He had a little brother called Daniel who was 16. I could tell he loved him. The way his eyes lit up talking about his soccer match that Daniel's team won. Before I knew it I fell asleep. My head placed on Nathan's shoulder.
