2 and a half months later:

Holding a cup of tea between both hands, my eyes glued to the TV. The Hounds of Baskerville episode from the show Sherlock played, I found it on Netflix and fell In love with it after the first 5 minutes.

Nathan is at work doing long hours because he's going to take a couple days off a week to help me with the baby. His family had come over for dinner last night. Let's just say the Beauchamp's are tough people to impress especially me being mildly sarcastic with an odd sense of humour. I really kicked up some dust! Nathan's little brother is a character. He's smart and is an amazing drummer with the looks to fit. Nearly being the same height as Nathan who is at least 6'2 and killer cheek bones. Fantastic breeding if you ask me! I can tell Nathan's mum isn't very keen on me or the fact that he wants to father a child that isn't his. I'm just happy that he's willing to try.

The way my life has gone, it's not far off of what my mum experienced well except I was treated like a raccoon with rabies by my dad and seen as a piece of property by Chris but none of that matters, I would never leave my child.

The sudden urge to pee throbbed through my body. Arg! Pulling the blanket off my swollen belly I use the couches arm rest as support. Standing upright I grab my tea cup and walk to the kitchen. Panting slightly I place the cup in the sink. The trees where rustling lightly in the wind as I watched a deer bounce through the foliage from the kitchen windows.

I jolt forward clutching the kitchen sink as pain shoots through my abdomen. The warm wet feeling sliding down my legs splashing onto the tiled floor. Panic fills my mind.
"Shit, Shit, Shit!" I've practiced for this moment. Oh god! The baby wasnt supposed to come for another 2 weeks! Walking slowly to the other side of the kitchen I grab my phone. Dialing Nathan's number. I waited patiently, it went to answer phone.
"Fuck!" I shouted as another wave of pain went through my body.
Dialing Kate, my breaths came out in exasperated puffs.
"Isabelle! How are you?" Kate's kind voice spoke through the speaker.
"My water broke and I'm panicking because Nathan won't answer his phone and I don't think I can drive!" I half yelled, I just wanted to sink to the ground and die.
"O-oh my god, okay. I'll call Craig, (Nathan's dad) I will pick you up. Remember deep breathes and make sure you have a bag ready!" Kate quickly hung up.

I grabbed a towel, wetting the cloth and semi wiped my legs. Shuffling to the hallway I slipped on my flipflop's and kicked the duffle bag that has been ready for at least 2 weeks to the door. Calling Nathan again, it went once again to answerphone.
"N-nathan, I'm getting picked up by Kate, she's taking me to the hospital. The babies coming!" I left a voice mail before leaning against the wall as I tried to remember what the doctor had said about contractions. Deep breathes!

Who the hell said pregnancy was a beautiful thing? It fucking feels like someone is ripping your fucking vagina apart! Excuse my french. The faint noise of a car coming down the drive way sparked hope. Flinging the door wide Kate's Range Rover parked by the front door. She jumped out also a man about my age with curly blonde hair climbed out the other side. Maybe her son?
"Isabelle, is everything okay? This is Quinn my son! Quinn help her into the back I'll grab the bag." She ordered her son around making me give a weak smile. Quinn came over to me offering an arm. I took it thankfully.
"Nice to meet you Isabelle, I've heard a lot about you!" He quipped in a half English half Scottish accent as we walked to the car. Kate flung the back door open as I slid in carefully. Kate already had a towel set out on the back seat. She is definitely prepared. Quinn ran around the other side and hoped in beside me. Kate seemed reasonably calm as she drove back down the driveway.

"Oh good news, John's back from you States! He will meet us at the hospital. He's excited to see you again!" Kate said as another wave of pain shot through me. A small yelp escaped my throat.
"Quinn hold her hand, she needs to let the pressure out on something!" Kate informed. Quinn offered his hand which I squeezed tightly.
"Holy..." Quinn started before his mother shot him a warning look.
"... Feathers, you have a tight grip!" Quinn corrected himself making me laugh.
"Don't make me laugh!" I pleaded before wincing as the pain became almost unbearable.
"I called Craig! Nathan was in a meeting but Craig offered to take over so Nathan will be there when we get there!" Almost on cue my phone started ringing. A sigh of relief left my lips as I saw it was Nathan.

"Belle, is everything okay? I'm sorry I didn't answer my phone, I was in a meeting but I'm on my way to the hospital!" Nathan shouted through the phone. Excitement and panic was evident in his voice.
"I'm okay, just be there when I get there. I want you with me!" I ground out. Sweat beaded my forehead.
"I'm nearly there, don't worry! How far away are you?" I glanced up, the road sign said 5minutes.
"5 minutes!" I gasped out.
"I can't believe this is happening!" He half squealed.
"I'll see you at the hospital!" I hung up, the hospital came into view. This is happening! I can do this!

We parked at the front doors. My door swung open and Nathan poked his head in . I could tell he was trying to hide the smile peaking through. Nathan's eyebrows knotted together slightly as he noticed my hand in Quinn's.
"Hey Nathan!" Quinn pulled his hand out of mine as Nathan helped me out. Another bolt of pain nearly sent me to my knees before Nathan picked me up bridal style before carrying me into the hospital. He's always the one to create a scene. Oh lord!

Before I knew it, I was lying on a bed. I was stripped of my clothes and given a horrible blue gown. Now I have a doctor between my legs. If I wasn't in so much bloody pain I would have been majorly creeped out and probably kicked him. Nathan sat patiently beside me dabbing my forehead with a cloth and held my hand. I kept my eyes on him trying to distract myself. He was wearing a white shirt with its sleeves rolled up, black suit trousers and dress shoes. The first few buttons on his shirt were undone. He was biting his lip nervously and his hair was already ruffled from running his fingers through it. His cheeks were slightly red making his cheekbones more defined and those amazing golden eyes seemed to glow. He was beautiful!

"Push!" The doctor shouted. I obeyed, closing my eyes, gritting my teeth and clasping Nathan's hand. I pushed!

A high pitched scream broke the silence. I opened my eyes to be faced with bright blue ones. Little tufts of red hair stuck up in curly rifts on his little head. He had the perfect button nose just like mine! I was speechless. The emotions swirling in my body seemed to let loose as tears flooded my cheeks.

"He's perfect!" I spluttered. I glanced at Nathan who was a complete mess. His eyes were red with tears as the biggest smile graced his face.
"He looks just like you!" He whispered kneeling down and placing a kiss to my forehead. Everything was perfect!!
