New weapons.

Dear Diary,

Today something bad happened. Me and Wade where looking for food, because we were running out of it. Some where about I found a bow and some arrows. There was a squirrel up in the trees. I try to shoot it. Surprisingly, I'm good with this archery thing.

That's when I heard a scream. Wade was holding his arm which was bleeding. He climbed a tree, but his arm doesn't let him go up more than about two metres. I looked at what bit him. It was a rabbit. Not any rabbit, a mutt. Because for sure no other rabbit has razor sharp teeth or blood-red eyes. I climbed up the tree next to Wade. His arm was bleeding heavily, and it looked painful. His face was pale. I help him climb higher.

Suddenly, the girl from 12 sat under our tree. She had a large orange backpack, and loads of weapons strapped to her belt. She hid everything under a bush and ate a rabbit. Soon she dozes off. I bandage Wade's arm with leaves. Then the Careers came. They came quickly and with one stab of Jewel's spear she was gone. A cannon sounded and the Careers went hunting for more. I went to the bush and looked at the things she left behind. An axe, three knives, a sheath of arrows, a sword, and the backpack.  Inside the backpack there was a lot of food. Rabbit meat ( I wondered if that is the muttation's meat), nuts, fruits and a packet of dried beef strips. 

Wade called me to come up the tree. I saw the silver parachute imediatly. Inside, there was a first aid kit. I looked for bandages and bandaged wade's hand. Then he went to sleep.

There are two faces in the sky tonight. The girl from 12. The boy from 9. That's all.
