Chapter 4: cupcakes and bowling

Robbie's POV

i walked back to my house carrying Mabel on my back, she was passed out. i saw my parents car parked outside in front of my house. i tiptoed inside quietly and ran to my room before i was noticed. luckily they didn't hear me.

i put Mabel down gently on the bed and closed my door. i sat on the bed and stroked her face gently while she slept. she began to talk in her sleep and curled up in a little ball "n-no! Robbie!" i woke her up and she held onto me crying. 

luckily my walls for whatever reason were sound proof so i held her in my arms as she cried, trying my best once again to comfort her. "i-i thought you died!" she kept crying.  it made me smile to know that me dying would be a nightmare for her.

I've never had anyone care that much about me that it scared them. not even Wendy was like that! i whispered in her ear "would you feel better if i sang to you?" she looked at me and a big smile came onto her lips she shook her head yes quickly and i chuckled. "okay..." i began to think of a song  (its the one above. its called waiting for superman)

"shes watching the taxi driver, he pulls away..." i began to sing. she laid her head on my chest "shes been locked up inside her apartment a hundred days... she says, 'yeah hes still coming, just a little bit late he got stuck at the laundromat washing his cape.' she just...watching the clouds roll by and they spell her name like Lois lane... and she smiles, oh the way she smiles..." as i was singing to Mabel, she began to shift so that i could sing easier.

Making a wish on a passing car

She's out on the corner trying to catch a glimpse
Nothing's making sense
She's been chasing an answer

He got stuck at the Five and Dime saving the day"

Left without a kiss

as i finished the song i looked at her and she was smiling at me. "you have such a great voice Robbie.." she said smiling still. i blushed "t-thanks Mabel..." i said smiling back.

Mabel's POV

as Robbie sang to me i felt more at peace.. he had such a calming voice that it just made me feel like everything would be okay... i hugged Robbie and we laid down. i fell asleep against him again. the next morning i woke up and heard voices outside the door.

"yes mom she is my girlfriend...no we aren't doing anything like that!...... mom we are just teenagers!" i heard the door open and pretended to be asleep. i then heard the door close and footsteps come closer.

i heard a deep sigh and someone got on the bed. "i know you're not asleep Mabs..." Robbie said as he closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around me. i blushed, "you're no fun.." i said 'mad'. he chuckled and pressed his face into the back of my neck.

i heard him breathe in deeply and sigh in content. we laid there for a while and heard a slight knock at the door. Robbie groaned crankily, i tried to get up but he pulled me back down to him "I've got it Mabs... just keep my spot warm 'kay?" he said getting up.

i watched as he opened the door and a tray of cupcakes was outside the door with a note that said 'Wanna go bowling?' Robbie brought them inside the room and closed the door. "can i have a cupcake?" i asked sweetly.

"of course you can Mabs" he said smiling at me. he came over to the bed and began to hand me a cupcake but pulled it back "on second thought....what will you give me in return?" he said smirking.

" you big meanie!" i said smiling at him and sitting up on the bed to give him a kiss. he smiled against my lips and gave me a cupcake "thanks Mabs..." he whispered in my ear and handed me the frosted goodness. i now know where Robbie gets his cooking skills from..

Robbie's POV

after i finished teasing Mabel with the cupcakes, we laid back down together and took a nap. it was about 10 pm when we finally decided to get up and go bowling with my parents (with a lot of persuasion from Mabel of course)  I'm actually pretty good at bowling but i was making it look like i sucked so that Mabel would help me with it.

i ended up hurting my leg because i slipped on the wood while bowling the ball. its not broken, just scraped and swollen. Mabel has been taking care of it and is trying to make sure i wont need to get it cut off (shes just too cute) "Mabs." i said smiling at her "yes Robbie?" she asked sweetly "i love you Mabs." i said and winked at her making her blush. "i-i love you too Robbie..." she said smiling and blushing.

Mabel's POV

i helped Robbie into his parents car and we drove back to his house. being that i was shorter then he was, i don't think i helped as much as he said i did but i tried anyways. i tried to help him onto the bed but he just laid down, pulling me on top of him.

i stared down at him and blushed. he smiled back at me and brushed a stray strand of hair out of my face. " i love you Mabs..i really do.." he said as he wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his head into my neck. "you are the only person who has ever made spending time with my parents enjoyable.." he said into my neck.

i began to feel wet hot tears run down my neck. "R-Robbie??" i asked worriedly. "its okay Mabs..these are tears of joy!" he said smiling at me. we both broke out into a tickle fight after that and of course he won, having size on me.

i laughed uncontrollably "A-ahhhhh!!! R-Robbie!! ahahaaa!!" i giggled. "say you love me back Mabs!" he laughed. "A-Alright!!! i-i love you too Robbie!!" he stopped tickling me and we both laid there and laughed. we both decided to take another nap, Robbie wrapped his arms around me and i snuggled into his chest.
