Chapter 6: Arachnophobia and fire

Dipper's POV

i thought it was the least i could do to help the people freaking out over the spider people so i did the only thing i could think of.. i did the Lamby Lamby dance. i felt that having them laugh at me instead of crying and freaking out was better for everyone.

Pacifica had to leave the room she was laughing so hard. turns out that Pacifica is actually good with helping people so she is going around helping the ones who got bit. Robbie woke up yesterday and is looking after Mabel, Ford is working on a plan, and Grunkle Stan is just trying to keep them out.

Ford's POV

i Finally figured out how to drive them out. Spiders hate fire. a bunch of the guys and i decided that we would sneak out while Stan distracts them and set some fires out front to give us some room to push them out.

we had some guns people brought in because they got bit while hunting. I'm glad i figured out an anti-venom in time because the final effect of the venom was irreversible paralysis most likely to help them catch their pray. Its amazing how that Robbie kid made it though, i thought it was too late for him for sure but he pulled through fine.

Mabel's POV

when i woke up beside Robbie he was staring at me smiling "Morning Mabs.." he said quietly "i slept a whole day??" i asked shocked. he nodded "yeah but that's okay you didn't sleep all week so you needed it. the nurses tried to move you but i wouldn't let them." he said scratching his head and blushing.

"Thanks Robbie" i said kissing his cheek. we turned on the T.v in the room and watched some kids shows. i later helped Robbie change his bandages and got his medicine for him that Grunkle Ford made. Robbie and i got hungry so we decided to walk around and go to the cafeteria.

we walked in just as Grunkle Ford was making an announcement. "do i have any volunteers to help me get outside and start the fires?" nobody raised their hands so i looked at Robbie. i raised my hand "i will!" i shouted and everyone, including Robbie stared at me.

Grunkle ford looked long and hard at me "are you sure Mable? its gonna be dangerous." he said. "ye-" before i could finish, Robbie pulled me to the side and looked deeply into my eyes "Mabs...please don't.. i could lose you.." he said hugging me tightly with tears streaming down his face.

i hugged him back "yes but if we don't try we will never get out of here... besides.. we are running low on food and we wont last much longer in here." i said looking up at him. he looked like the world was about to end "Mabs..." he said as i looked at Grunkle ford and said "I'll do it!"

Robbie's POV

when Mabel  yelled "I'll do it!" it felt like my heart just broke in two. i held her hand as everyone began to cheer and start working on parts of the plan. she squeezed my hand as if she were saying it was going to be okay.

Wendy walked over to us "hey Mabel! hey Robbie!" she smiled and waved shyly at me. "hey Wendy!" we both said at the same time, we both looked at each other and laughed. "jinx!" we both yelled and continued to laugh. "hey..um Robbie?" she asked blushing.

"yeah? whats up?" i said back "would you...um...like to go out again..? i miss you.." she said looking down. i could feel Mabel tense up being i was still holding her hand. "no thanks i already have a girlfriend." i said smiling at Mabel.
