Chapter 40

Joyce POV:

My mare and I were ecstatic. Michael is alive! I galloped home and saw Damon with Jack. They hugged me smiling. I shifted back and they smelled Michaels scent. "No way mom. Hes dead!" he said shocked. I shook my head and looked at him. "I was taking a run when Mystic told me your father was close. He mindlinked me. I found him in a building deep in the Woods. He is alive Damon. And we need to help him. Dylan has set this up to win me back." I explained and we both cried from happiness. KITT drove up to us. "Michael is alive?!"he said gobsmacked. I dried my tears. "Yes KITT. I found him. Deep in the forrest."I said and he showed his scanner happily, "We need Devons help. He can help us saving Michael. But keep this a secret okay. I dont know what Dylan is capable of."I said and saw Dylan gallop over here. My mare pissed as hell, but I kept her calm. "Hey gorgous." Dylan cooed when he shifted. I scoffed. "What do you want?"I said annoyed. He raised his eyebrow. "Im here to see you Joyce." he said and when he wanted to kiss me I pushed him away. "Get your filthy hands off me. I want to talk to you" I said sternly and pulled him with me.

He looked shocked at me. "Whats wrong Joyce?" he said with a knowing look. "YOU KNOW WHAT IS WRONG. YOU KIDNAPPED MICHAEL YOU ASSHOLE!" I said furiously, Mystic coming above the surface. He laughed evilly. "Hes a waste. You are mine. A horseshifter cant be mated to a human" he smirked. I shifted, Mystic taking control. He shifted too and Ireared pissed. He charged at me but I dodged. I kicked him so hard he flew against a tree. He stood up and pinned me down. I rolled away and kicked him again, causing him to fall down. I look at him furiously, my ears pinned back and my mouth dangerously open. Clearly Jack and Damon heard the fight so they shifted and raced to us. "Leave us alone Dylan. Youre so dead now. Show me Michael. Now." I mindlinked pissed. Knowing its too late now, Im pulling up Dylan by biting his neck and dragging him into a stable. "You are gonna show me Michael tomorrow or you will be food for the wolves" I said and shifted back. Dylan nodded his head and I locked the stable door. Damon and Jack shifted too and hugged me. "We can stay here tonight if you want."he suggested and I nodded. We walked into the house, Damon to the guestroom with Jack, me to my own bedroom. I changed into my pjs and slipped under the covers. I fell asleep with the thought of Michael and I being together again tomorrow.

The next morning I wake up, and dress myself quickly. I go to Danger who doesnt know the news yet. I told him everything and he was rearing happily hugging me. He was so happy for me. I gave him his breakfast and opened his door to the pasture so when hes finished he could go outside. I walked back in and saw Damon and Jack make out. "Come on, get a room you two." I said laughing. Damon blushed and hid in Jacks chest. They are such a nice couple together, I sat down in the kitchen and ate breakfast. After Breakfast, I got KITT ready and walked to the stables. I had haltered Dylan luckily. I pulled him out of the stable and shifted, I held the rope between my teeth. "Now youre gonna show me Michael." I mindlinked pissed and he lead me and KITT to the building. I shifted and Dylan did too. I pushed him into the door of the building, letting him open the door. I tied him to a chair and ran in. I took the key from the nail and opened the door. There he was, in his full glory. I untied him and he ran to me, picking me up in his arms. I was crying from happiness. When he put me down, he leaned in and kissed me. I had to calm Mystic otherwise she wouldve taken him right here right now. I kissed back, feeling him pull me closer, taking our moment. When we pulled away at the same time we looked into eachothers eyes. "I missed you so much Joyce" He whispered holding my hand kissing it. "I missed you too Michael." I said and we walked out of the room. We dropped Dylan in KITT and Michael stepped in KITT. I shifted into my mare and galloped home. Arriving home, I felt that we were complete again.
