UNKNOWN POV

He just need to gain her trust. He's been doing good so far, but you can't always trust what you see. In 3 days time, I expect my plan to be ready enough for my intervention. I'm ready for my mate, and all I have to do to get her is take her away from the idiot who claims she's his.

I walk out of the metal storage building, and quickly strip. Our campsite is covered by trees and shrubbery, so I shouldn't be seen by any outsiders.
I change into my wolf, bones crackling as the shift happens. When I finally get into my wolf form, I feel much more powerful. I felt...rejuvinated. Maybe I won't have to wait for my mate. Maybe, just maybe, in this form, I could take her myself. I run towards their pack, knowing that no one would dare to stop me.

Except my doctor/therapist. I growled at him, mad he was in the way of me getting to my mate.

"Sir, I believe the time for your plan isn't now, so please, sir, wait paitently," he said, hiding his fear.

'You also believed your mate was faithful, but she wasn't as she did things to me that never crossed her mind when she was with you. So obviously, you don't need to be assuming anything.' I bragged through the mindlink.

He shuddered harshly, a feeling of hatred in his eyes. I gave a wolfy grin, happy to make this young lad angry. I wanted him to lunge. I wanted to rip his head off of his shoulders.

But he didn't do anything.

Instead, he spoke, exhaling through his nose after a deep inhale. "My mate, truly was a slut. No matter how many times I have tried to tell myself different, she was a whore with no standards. She was just...not the right one for me. My mother always taught me to treat women with respect, but obviously my former mate never had a father figure to tell her that men need love and loyalty as well. Yes, I loved Melaine, but not at all in my 20 years of life have I known it okay for an Alpha to sleep with his beta/doctor/therapist's wife and feel the right to brag about it,"

And he walked away, back rigid.

I was confused, surely I would've attacked my Alpha if he stated that about Raine. My Raine. I shook my head, confused, and turned back to the pack house. My vibe was killed.

Just like Cade will be.

RAINE'S POV

I was pissed. How could Cade do that like he actually missed or wanted to be with her? And he had the nerve to do it in front of me?

I scoffed kicking a rock in front of me. I had left the school, leaving the school nurse to attend to Cade and the whore. Her wrist would be fine—werewolves heal fast. As I found another rock to kick, I heard the rustle of leaves behind me.

I spun around, finding nothing. I observed everything before turning around into a solid wall. Actually, it was a man. His face was hidden, and as he stuck a syringe in my neck, I left conciousness. But not before seeing half of my attackers face covered in burns.

I usually wake up in the morning then I dab.

But, in this case, I was tied and chained to a metal wall. I looked around assessing the situation. I looked around and saw a tiny window high up on the metal wall. It was...morning? How could that be? If I was exploring yesterday afternoon? Then it clicked.

I was stuck here since yesterday. I was pissed! Why me? Can't you steal some other girl?

I looked at the locks on my hands and saw that it was able to fit a bobby pin. In the process of looking for a bobby pin I usually keep in my boobs, I quickly stopped as a figure stopped at the silver bars.

They sat and stared at my breast while I rambled crazily.

"Hey you, person! Well, ya see-" I stopped because I could smell lust in the air. Oh hell no. I tried to stop giving them a reason to lust then I realized my boob was still basically hanging out in search of that bobby pin.

I quickly pushed my milk bag back inside my bra, and smiled embarrassedly. "Sorry about that,"

The figure shook his head and I think-growled in appreciation? I raised my eyebrow and asked the question I really needed an answer to.

"Can I get a fridge in here? Like, I don't wanna leave this...barred room, because I don't feel completely safe but if I get a fridge-"

The man growled, grabbing on the bars and yelled, "NO! You WILL feel safe here because this is our future pack!"

I looked around the cell, trying to find who this man was yelling at. And who was the other person included in that our? Certainly not I.

I ignored him and his anger, allowing him to get upset and leave. I was left alone. Again. I tried to shift into Midnight, only to be put in undescribable pain. A guard walked by, enjoying my screams.

"Laced in silver, you dumb fuck," he said laughing cruelly.

"The only 'dumb fuck' was the one your mom and dad did to make you. I bet he wished he pulled out," I chuckled, still feeling the pain in my wrists. The guard lunged at the bars, shaking them wildly.

"Wanna know what else is dumb? Your mom for not aborting you like the doctor suggested. Let her know we listen to doctors for a reason okay?" I was having too much fun with this.

He stopped shaking the bars only to calm down- barely-and to say a few words.

"When I have you, you're gonna wish you didn't say that." He walked away, pushing a more feeble guard to the wall who was just minding his business.

CADE'S POV

"What do you mean they came back and failed?" I shrieked. The man before me came and gave me an answer I was dreading.

"He killed them."

My world shattered. Timothy and his group, the one incharge of finding the camp and finding my missing mate were killed. Suddenly, I remembered, he had a baby on the way.

'Everyone, leave!' I said through the mindlink. I wanted Raine back. I needed Raine back. She left because of me, and my stupidity. I just...I just wanted my baby back. She is my everything. I love her.

I got up, and went up to our room. Sure, it had only been a day, but anything can happen in a day.
"Hey! Mr. Cade! It's me! The boy who y'all tied up when yall met me! I do believe it's possible to find Raine, although I haven't eaten lunch yet and food is very important to me-" the boy said as I opened the door. When he got to the part about saving Raine, I stopped and rushed to him.

"How can we save Raine?" I asked. The boy smiled and went and got his tiny Beats Speaker.

"Just follow me Mr. Alpha sir. Just follow me."
