"Mom, I forgive you," Cade burst out as we entered Grace's room. She woke up groggily from her bed and rubbed her eyes.

"Eh?" She asked, completely awake now. "You forgive me? Oh my gosh, does that mean I can plan the wedding?"

I looked at Cade and laughed. "That's exactly what we mean -"

"Good because I already planned stuff, I just didn't tell you. Like, anything you guys want? I can fit it in my plan somewhere." Grace rambled no trace of sleep on her working face.

"Raine wants a purple, white, and black theme. She wants to be the only one wearing white, and no one else. I'll be wearing black, but she will know it's me," Cade grinned.

Grace nodded and started getting to work. She ran to her desk and started to grab paper before backtracking to come and strongly embrace Cade and I.

"Thank you."

Those two words had so much baggage, but was swiftly swept into the trash.

"And baby we don't need a bed, noo.
Don't need a master room. Don't need to set the mood. She like yeah, one touch one touch she gon' give me all your love. She's ready." I sang as I stuffed my mouth with chocolate chip cookies. *

This month was the month our baby boy was due. I remember Cade crying as he sat in our bed one day. I came and soothed his fears about being a father; he was worried he wouldn't be a good one considering his...fathers.

"You will be alright," I remember saying, "our child will have just enough love to survive a lifetime. I promise."

His tears stopped and he kissed my forehead, repeating I Love You's over and over again in my ear.

"Raine!" I heard Cade yell, bringing me out of my trance. I smiled before struggling to get up from my chair.

"In here!" I shouted back, shoving one more cookie in my mouth. "Bring more cookies!"

The door opened, revealing my lovely mate, grinning contented. "Well what are you? The cookie monster?" I laughed as he came and swooped me off of my feet.

"Cade," I whined, kissing his neck. "We have to finish the nursery!" He groaned and continued to carry me ourside of our room into the center of the pack.

"Heyy Raine!" Melanie greeted. Byrin was beside her, but all he did was wave and smile a small smile. I grinned back and laughed.

"Ready to be a bridesmaid?" I asked her, knowing she would scream in excitement.

"Omg yes Luna! Like, the dress you picked out was gorgeous and I almost died." Melanie dreamily rambled. "If only Abby were here..." she solemnly stated. Byrin wrapped an arm around her and kissed her temple.

"She would want you to enjoy yourself, not mourn over her. You know how she was." Byrin murmured in Melanie's ear. She nodded hugged him closely. He breathed in her scent and closed his eyes, Melanie doing the same.

I looked at Cade and rose and eyebrow. "Huh," I said to myself. We left silently, smiling amongst each other. Once we reached the nursery, I inhaled a sharp breath. Something wasn't right. I didn't feel...safe.

I looked down the hall and saw nothing. I looked up and saw nothing as well. I shook it off, feeling as if I was being paranoid.

"You good baby?" Cade asked, his hand on the yellow knob. I kissed his cheek that needed shaving and carressed it with my thumb.

"I am; thanks for asking."

He smiled and opened the door, causing me to exhale the forgotten breath. "Cade it's - beautiful," I whispered, seeming to have lost my voice.
