Chapter 14 Yeah...sure

I just stood there shocked.

How did this always happen to me?

I waved trying to talk but nothing came out.

"Hi i just wanted to say hi you know moms always wanting to be overly nice" he said with his hands in his pocket.

I nodded.

"I mean i know what you mean" i said thinking about my family.

"Why?" he asked looking all of a sudden sad.

"Well, i-" i tripped up in words.  "I-I had to move away from her" i said.

"You mean divorce" he asked.

"Yes" i lied.

"Are you sure becasue you are a bad liar i can-" Cody stopped talking.

I turned around there was Ross.

Cody stepped back.

"Hi man" said Cody taking out his hand to shake.

Ross shook it uncertainly.

"Who are you?"  asked Ross.

"I am your new neighbor Cody nice to meet you" Cody looked upset and sad.

"Who is this?" asked Cody.

I waited for Ross to answer and Ross didnt.

I looked at Cody he was looking at me.

"Uh-um this is my brother Ross" i said learning that he was talking to me.

"Oh-your brother as in real brother?" asked Cody looking relieved.

"Yes my brother brother i mean i just learned that he was my brother a little while ago which was a surprise."

"Guys where are you i need your help?" called a voice from in the house.

"Where are you gu-" dad stopped when he saw us.

Next my dad showed up.

"Hello who are you?" asked my dad looking worried at Cody.

"I am your new neighbor Cody and it is also nice to meet you" said Cody sarcastilcally.

Dads face redened.

"I am so sorry you know parents they are so very overprotective" dad shook his hand,

"Believe me i know" said Cody winking at me.

Later after Cody left.

"You will be starting school tomorrow you guys." said dad that was making dinner.

Ross was looking at dads laptop.

I was sitting at the kitchen table reading a Seventeen magezine.

Dad gave us both a manila envelope that told us what our mission was.

I opened it up there was a new passport and ID and cell phone.

I read my new name:

Mica Corel Reed!

Really that name just ruins the whole fun.

I then read the mission my jaw dropped.
