"WAKE UP"
That is literally all Colin heard. Everything seems off. But all he could see was a lot of blood and dead bodies outside. "Stay with me dude" Tom shouted as he started to wrap a gauze wrap around Colin's arm, Colin got shot. Casey was in the corner watching, tears were going down her eyes. Tom was patching up Colin, he tried to lean up on the wall post, then get up. But Tom stopped him. "Dude, you were shot by those raiders, you are not going anywhere." Colin tried to get up but the pain stopped him. Casey was still watching outside, she told Tom to go take watch. He didn't want to but let her be with Colin. Casey went to the side were Colin wasn't shot and snuggled him. "I was so afraid you would bleed out and..." She takes a large swallow. "Die"
"They can't get rid of me that easily. I should be okay" Colin replied
Tom added. "Your arm may not be battle worthy for at least a few weeks. I got the bullet out and stitched it back up for you, But the pain may linger for a while."
Colin, making a Fallout 4 reference. "Oh I should be able to take a Stimpack or a Psycho and I'll be fine!"
Tom and Casey laughed, "Colin, if only life wasn't a video game." Changing topics to something more serious. "We need to move bases. We have been in Pennsylvania for too long, we should go west toward Ohio and see if the government is still operating. Where the hell is this fucking state department support that we were suppose to have until 2019."
Colin tried to remember the states that no longer existed from that radio broadcast he heard on the EAS a year ago. But he couldn't remember. The pain must of been screwing with his memory a bit. He was having random flashbacks. He couldn't tell what world he was in, so he said "Guys, I keep having flashbacks, back from before"
Tom said, "We all have flashbacks from our past sex life Colin" Poking at a joke with Colin and Casey and Tom and his ex.
"And you wish you could still get it" Colin shouted, laughing, he never did Casey, but Tom always assumed he did, even before this all happened.
"What are these flashbacks then?"
"I don't know, when all of this started. When all of the government collapsed." Colin said.
Tom turns on the speaker with his old iPod, he turns on a old Elvis Presley song remix and starts dancing to cheer up the mood.
"Tom, if we had a prom, you would totally be the party pooper" Casey laughed.
"Yeah, maybe then a girl would look at me." Tom corrects himself. "A single one"
Casey laughs and then leans in to kiss Colin, Colin can't refuse the offer. Tom starts shouting out "FIRST COME LOVE, THEN COMES MARRIAGE"
Casey takes a rock and throws it at Tom, missing. "You wish you could have me" Casey then leans on Colin, he instantly felt better knowing his friends still cared. As much as his friends were assholes. They were all he had left. So he had to protect them. For the first time in a long while. He turned the safety on his gun on.
