While the plot was slightly more than cliché, it was a well written, intriguing book. The language used had good expression and showed depth. I give ticks for grammar, plot, characters and everything in between page one and the end. Her badboy, Kai Asher, was on point!

My only problem with the story, is the blurb. The synopsis mentions a bet between the boys on who can get the good girl - causing many readers (and myself) to anticipate the whole moment of discovering about the bet. Not only does this line give away the whole story, but it also loses the reader's interest: why read it when they know the plot twist? Aside from that, when I went along with it, I was under the impression that the 'moment of discovery' would be the turning point or climax of the book before settling down to a conclusion. While originally disappointed at the abrupt ending, the author didn't disappoint too many much when she started up the sequel, which continues on from My BadBoy Neighbour. It would be best if her blurb didn't mention a bet at all; Don't tell the whole story because people will be less likely to read it since they'll know the whole storyline from that huge paragraph in your blurb.

It's one of those super cliché books - but it's so well written, it changes the whole reading experience in a very different and rarely seen way. It was a very enchanting read and captivated me from begining to end. Overall, this book is definitely worth the read; Afterall, it did win a Watty 2015 Award.

I give an overall rating of...
4 out of 5
