I know, I said I'd try finding less popular books, but then I stumbled across this one  and was just sucked into reading it again.

I was actually clearing out my library and archives because my app is slow at loading sometimes and saw this book again!

The Kissing Pact is what I consider a Wattpad classic - it was one of the first books I read on here and it was one of the few that I really liked.

I love her writing style and expression - it's at a perfect pace for me without over analysing nor being too vague. Plus, it's perfectly formatted with italics and proper paragraphs.

Reading it again was refreshing - it's got all the food fight scenes and squeal inducing moments that reminded me of why I liked the book in the first place. It's even got one of my hands down favourite elements, which aren't revealed until later in the book (hint hint). Oh, and the kissing scenes are... hot.

I've got admit though, I really dislike the new cover. While it's pretty and aesthetic, it doesn't show the playfulness of the story. I mean, if you just read the book blurb, you can already tell there will be plenty of humour and pranking. Plus, the mc, Ellie, is a redhead. (Pretty much the reason why I put the old cover next to it as well).

Sometimes my heart strings were pulled so badly it physically hurts - yeah, I said this book was funny, but when the stuff was serious - it was serious. But then there were adorable, cute and incredibly heart warming scenes that just cut out my heart and serves it on a platter. The feels are real.

Gabriel is that boy that just hits the nail on the head, he's got the perfect balance of confidence and charm. Don't get me started on their tension filled banter. I. CAN'T. BEGIN. TO. DESCRIBE. GAH.

There's a huge amount of heart breaking history - and the beautiful part of it is? The fact that the humour is used by characters as a cover up of their true emotions. Just think, the amount of time you put on a fake smile and laughed because you didn't want others to know you weren't okay. I don't know about you, but humour can be an escape, a way to hide.

Anyways, this book certainly is one of my favourites and is the type that you'll still enjoy even after a long period of time. It's got witty banter, tension filled ice cream fights and a whole dollop of lovable-ness.

And yes, I made up that last word.

Loving it with a
5 out of 5
