This is probably the best vampire-mermaid teen book I've ever read

This is probably the best vampire-mermaid teen book I've ever read. The author has created on of the most interesting supernatural world out there with mixes of fairies, dragons and even Greek Gods (Cupid certainly is a cutie!). Somehow, she's able to incorporate all of these elements without making it random.

The spelling and grammar is spot on! I love her writing style; It's just so perfectly suited for teen girls while keeping it appropriate. its almost impossible to not love her expression; its humorous and portrays the protagonist exactly how she experiences life in her world. Just by reading the first few lines and I could already tell that this author had my approval for writing.

And now you're probably wondering - is this even a bad boy book? Well yes, yes it is.

If you like vampire boys, then you'll love Pierce; a mysterious vamp who just can't keep his fangs away from Waverly. Secret background, purpose and a lady's man? Pierce most certainly has the bad boy label down to a Tee.

I love all the characters - (Just wait till you meet Olga and his wife... hehe). But damn! I just absolutely love Waverly Marie Fishwater (I know right, her name!), I can't even begin to describe her. Meh, I'll just use the first paragraph of the first chapter:

"But, Mom!" I said, in a kind of whiny telepathic voice. (That's how we mermaids communicate underwater. By sending out brain signals. We modulate them in any old way, and because I'm seventeen, I'm really good at the 'whiny' and 'condescending.' I'm trying to nail 'sexy,' but I think my inner sexy voice sounds like I've been swimming laps from the coast to the Farallon Islands for a week solid. It's all breathy and a little desperate too.)

And if you're a stickler for wanting a great plot full of adventure, comedy and budding romances with a twist of supernatural - This book is the one!

Did I also mention it won a Watty Award?

Yay or nay?
It's a 5 out of 5
