Getting Over Your Partner; Blogpost #292: Kids- I could never find myself wanting kids after Garret passed, but you guys that have kids are a little late for that train of thought. If you have six kids and a minivan or you're currently pregnant, continue reading. If you don't have anything to do with either of those things, pick if you'd like to read or not, but this post is about kids.

I read over the post, sighing fixing some problems, then someone sat beside me. "Mind if I sit here?" A deep voice asked, and I shook my head.

"Go ahead," I shrugged, sipping my coffee. "If you don't mind me asking; what are you doing at Barnes and Noble?"

"Just trying to start reading again, and wondering what Ellie Manchester is doing here," he chuckled and my face turned pale.

"You're a fan?" I smiled, and he nodded. "Hi, I guess."

"My name's Brendon," he stuck out his hand and I shook it. "I'm going through a divorce and saw your post about pets, and I've read every one of them since," Brendon smiled, and I felt my cheeks heating up.

"How long have you been married?" I asked, closing my laptop.

"One almost two years," Brendon answered. "Not as much as you and Garret, but your blog still helps."

"It's hard in that time, you're fresh out of the honeymoon stage," I replied and Brendon nodded.

"It is hard, but your blog is helping me through it," Brendon nodded. "Thanks, Ellie."

"No problem, my blog is me getting over my loss and helping others get through their problems," I responded and Brendon nodded.

"You don't mind me ruining your writing session, do you?" Brendon chuckled, and I shook my head. "What's it about?"

"I don't do previews!" I laughed. "Like proposals, I don't like looking ahead for the future; therefore, I'm not going to tell you."

"Okay," he nodded at me, then looking at his books, "okay."

"That book sucks," I took it from Brendon's hands, "Go for Maureen Johnson."

"Uh..." Brendon laughed nervously.

"Come on," I got up, putting my shoulder bag on my shoulder, and pulling Brendon along.

I walked straight to the young adult reading section, and pulled the Let It Snow out of the bookshelf, handing it to Brendon. "Now it's about teenagers, but it's good."

"Thanks," Brendon smiled at the end of his lips. "Really, I need to start reading again, and this'll probably help."

"No problem," I laughed. "Welcome to Colorado also."

"How'd you know?" Brendon asked.

"Converse isn't good for snow, only during summer," I answered and Brendon chuckled.

"I'm not here for long, but next time I'll bring boots," Brendon responded and I smiled.

"I'm going to see my parents in Arkansas, so I gotta go, but it was really nice meeting you," I looked at the time of my phone and saw the time.

"Yeah, of course, I gotta go too, see you around if I'm ever in Colorado again?" Brendon questioned and I nodded.

"Yeah, definitely!" I smiled.

"Okay, see you around," Brendon waved before we turned in opposite directions.

Brendon's POV

I jumped back on the tour bus and everyone waved. "What took so long?" Kenny asked.

"I met the blogger that is helping me get over Sarah," I answered and they all turned to me with wide eyes. "Ellie Manchester."

"Whoa dude! What happened next?" Dan questioned.

"We talked and she gave me a different book, we both had to go and said goodbye, no numbers exchanged, or ideas of when to see each other again, I didn't even get a picture because it would ruin everything," I sighed. "She was amazing."

"Brendon?" Dallon laughed, "You alright?"

"No, I'll never see her again," I leaned my head on the wall, pulling out Let It Snow, "She told me this was a good book, that it was about teenagers though, but that doesn't change her feelings about it."

"Is she blonde?" Dan questioned and I nodded. "Yeah she's walking out."

I jumped up and ran to the window.

Ellie looked angry with whoever was on the phone with her, and she then stuffed her phone in her pocket before putting on a beanie and looking both ways.

Ellie then began walking. "What is she doing?" Ken asked, and I shrugged.

"She's headed to Arkansas, and that's all I know," I sighed.

"Bro she can't walk! Go get her!" Dallon shouted and I put on my shoes.

"Ellie!" I yelled, but she didn't hear, I began running and continued yelling.

Ellie finally turned around and I fell on my ass.

"Oh my god, Brendon," she rushed over. "Are you okay?"

"I'm good," I lied and Ellie laughed. "What?"

"You fell on your ass, I told you converse wasn't good in Colorado," Ellie explained.

"Well I was wondering where you were going because you looked angry, do you have a ride?" I asked and Ellie shook her head.

"No, my ride just ditched me," Ellie sighed. "I was going to the bus stop about a mile away."

"No! I can take you!" I blurted and Ellie's eyes widened. "It sounds sketchy but it's not, I'm in a band, and that's our tour bus behind me," I pointed and Ellie looked utterly confused.

"I- I don't know."

"Trust me," I smiled, and Ellie looked at the bus again before nodding in agreement for us to drive her.

I pushed the code in, then opened the door. The guys all were laughing then turned to me confused. "Brendon I told you no more band mates!" Dallon joked, then realized it was Ellie.

"Wait," Kenny began laughing as I closed the door behind Ellie.

"Ellie needs a ride to the Arkansas airport, and we're driving passed it on the way to Mississippi, so I thought we can drop her off," I explained and the guys all stared at me.

"Well I'm Dan," Dan introduced himself.

"Ken," Kenny chuckled.

"Dallon," Dallon waved and Ellie nodded.

"I read your blog," Ken smiled, "I've never even had a long term relationship besides my wife, but hey!"
