I felt a poke on my cheek.

"Babe," a familiar voice whispered.

"Babe," Brendon repeated.

"You know how I feel about you waking me up," I replied and Brendon chuckled.

"I know but it's your birthday! I made breakfast and everything!" Brendon was obviously proud of himself.

"Okay," I squinted open my eyes and saw Brendon's messy bed hair, making me smile.

"Happy birthday," Brendon pecked my lips.

We walked into the kitchen, Brendon's arm hooked around my waist.

I sat at the bar and Brendon set a plate in front of me. It looked pretty good.

I tasted the pancakes and looked at Brendon. He looked nervous.

"You did not make this," I responded.

"I did," Brendon nodded. "Is that good?"

"Brendon! You called someone over and they made pancakes, you went and got McDonald's pancakes!" I exclaimed.

"No, I actually didn't," Brendon chuckled. "Are they good?"

"They're amazing," I smiled and Brendon sighed out of relief.

"That's good, you made me nervous," Brendon replied and I continued eating.

"I wouldn't tell you if they tasted like ass," I smirked and Brendon rolled his eyes, sitting beside me.

Brendon tasted the pancakes and his eyes widened. "Holy shit that is good!" Brendon laughed and I nodded.

I got in Bren's car, he apparently wants to be adventurous. I don't know what he means by that.

"Okay," Brendon said after we've been driving for a bit. "In the back is your clothes, we're going to have a trip to Malibu, and we're staying there for two days," Brendon explained.

"Brendon!" I exclaimed and he smiled.

"We're staying at this little resort house, the kitchen is stocked with food for when we get there, and we're twenty miles away from civilization," Brendon chuckled.

"Brendon!" I covered my face. "A resort?"

"Yeah, and we have our own little private beach," Brendon smiled.

Brendon grabbed my suitcase just as I picked it up. "I got it," Brendon smiled before I could protest.

"Okay," I nodded.

Brendon and I walked to the front door. Brendon pulled out a key and unlocked the door, swinging it open.

We walked in and Brendon set our suitcases by the door.

As I was looking around, Brendon picked me up bridal style.

"I know this sounds stupid but my family makes every guy do this for his girlfriend/fiancée/wife, and I've never done it," Brendon explained.

"So where are you taking me?" I laughed and Brendon shrugged.

Brendon and I explored the rest of the house once he put me down.
