"Babe! Are you ready?" Brendon shouted, looking through the apartment.

"Hold on," I laughed, jumping through the hallway while putting on my heels.

"How do you do that?" Brendon chuckled at me, and I shrugged.

I grabbed my wallet and phone then turned to Brendon. "Ready?" Brendon smiled at me, and I nodded.

Brendon opened my side of his car, and I smiled at him.

Brendon started the car, and grabbed my hand. Before backing up he turned and smiled to me. "Happy one-year," Brendon kissed my hand.

"Happy one-year," I replied.

We got to the beach, and Brendon turned to me. "Stuffs in the back," Brendon smiled.

Brendon carried the blanket while I carried the basket.

Brendon rolled out the blanket and I set the picnic basket down.

We sat down and I looked around. "How'd you get the beach so cleared off?" I asked and Brendon shrugged.

After we ate Brendon sat closer beside me. "I was thinking earlier while on tour with you, and I thought about something in specific, and that's about us being together almost 24/7, and how much I love it," Brendon smiled and I nodded.

"Well I was thinking, why not make that a normal thing?" Brendon smiled. "Now I'm not proposing, it's too early and you'll agree with me on that one," Brendon chuckled.

I felt my heart beating out of my chest.

"But I decided, why not make a promise, to later?" Brendon smiled.

"What do you mean?" I smiled, confused.

"I mean..." Brendon pulled out a little velvet box.

I covered my face and Brendon laughed.

"No you're not giving me a promise ring!" I felt a bump in my throat.

"Yeah, I am," Brendon smiled and I didn't even have to see the ring, I fell into Brendon's arms, his arms wrapping around my lower back. "Want to see it?"

"I'll start crying more Brendon!" I stated and he smiled.

Brendon opened the box and I covered my face. "I hate you for doing this to me!" I joked.

"I know babe," Brendon pecked my cheek. "Want to try it on?"

Brendon held my shaky hand, pulling the ring out of the box. "I love you," I shook my head.

"I love you," Brendon slid the ring on my finger, and it fit perfectly. "I knew you loved copper rings, so I got you one," Brendon smiled up at me. "Do you like it?"

"The question should be 'Are you mildly obsessed with it?' and yes," I sniffled. "Here's your gift."

I handed Brendon a black box of guitar picks, all with different things written on them, from old quotes he said, to pictures of Ryan.

"Oh my god," Brendon laughed at me. "I love you."

"But that's not it babe!" Brendon chuckled. "We're going to stop by the house because we have to change."

"What? What do you mean?" I wiped the tears off my cheeks.

"I mean, we have to get dressed," Brendon chuckled.
