February 14. Not a day taken kindly by most. But those who do have someone to spend it with, wether it be a friend or lover, will hopefully make it one of the most joyous and romantic moments of their entire year.

February 14. Valentine's Day. For people like Saruhiko Fushimi, which is in fact a hermit, Valentine's Day can be quite the irritable one with the face smacking heart balloons and the ultimately disturbing, edible cherry panties.

However, this Valentine's Day is different.

For this year the third in command of Scepter 4 had attained a boyfriend, who in fact went by the name of Misaki Yata. At this day and age, they have now been dating now for a month and thirteen days, and Saruhiko is determined to treat Misaki like a treasure, not only for now, but for ever.

Unlike the typical lover, who'd present their other half with a mere bouquet of roses and a heart shaped box of chocolates..or in fact one of those boxes consisting of strange tasting candy hearts, Saruhiko had made sure that when Misaki left the apartment, the entire facility was covered head to toe in sweet vanilla smelling candles and scarlet red rose petals, and of course forming the cheesy flower petal heart on top of their shared bed.

The apartment just screamed romantic, but well of course when it comes to Misaki, Saruhiko could be no other way. But alas, Saruhiko was nowhere near done for he planned to bestow Misaki with gifts that had such meaning, words could not compare. But the star of the show would be the promise ring Saruhiko was going to present to Misaki at the end of their lovely evening.

Yes, a sterling silvered, cubic zirconia, 14K rose gold plated vintage promise ring. This ring was going how much Saruhiko truly loved Misaki and how much he always will love him.

But now was not the time to dawdle and have romantic daydreams about Misaki on cloud nine, now was the time to make sure their dinner reservation hasn't been mucked up like it has been in the past.

Throwing on a divine yet simple, long sleeved black t-shirt, which defined his toned and svelte body, with a casual slim fit jean/pair of dress pants, Saruhiko proceeded to jump into his car with gifts in hand and surprise Yata with them at his beloved HOMRA base/bar.

On the complete other end of the spectrum, Misaki hadn't the slightest clue on what to do for Saruhiko. Despite them knowing each other from childhood, Saruhiko was not a cookie that liked to crumble. In fact, he was more like a hockey puck that liked to break people's teeth. Very tough to crack. The three things Misaki has come to know about the things Saruhiko liked were sleep, technology, and evidently him, quite embarrassing really.

Well he could always go with the corny option of giving himself up to Saruhiko as a present as Bandou suggested, however the amber eyed vanguard could never bring himself to do such an awkward thing.

Pondering the current state of affairs, Misaki then came to the conclusion to bake Fushimi a hopefully romantic deemed cake.

Once Misaki had finished spreading out the batter in the designated pan, he placed it into the oven to cook at 335 degrees for about 30-35 minutes, as he was doing this he failed to notice the said monkey creep up behind him.

Yes indeed Saruhiko had just arrived at HOMRA with one out of Misaki's many gifts in hand. Upon entering the building, which smelt like vanilla and baking powder, Saru had saw his lover crouched down in front of the oven of course cooking something.

Due to the aroma the building had produced when he first walked in, Saruhiko deduced it really was a cake his beloved was cooking.

Anywho, seeing his one and only crouched down in such a cute position, Saru just couldn't resist and had to practically glomp onto his little crow to at least get some love that was obviously overflowing his entire being out.
