Dear Yori,

I've decided to write this diary to you since you are the person who I always told my secrets and even your name means trust so I guess that I can rely on you to hold onto my secrets for me.

My Mama and I have been living in Kettering for just over a month now and I started my new school today after summer break. To start off with I thought it would be great, they even had cherryblossom trees leading up the hill to school (though they weren't in blossom since it's September) and all I could think of was a moment in Clannad as I stood at the bottom of the hill. My daydream was soon finished as a boy ran up behind me and attempted to push me over; luckily, I didn't fall but I still stumbled and ripped the sole off the front of my shoe. Typical English school shoes; over priced, bad quality and soon fall apart.

Class is great though, I prefer sitting at group tables rather than on my own and there are lots of funny conversations going on all the time, some of them are just dirty and others random. British girls seem to have an obsession with shaving off their eyebrows then drawing them back on. What's the point when everyone can tell they're fake; I wonder if they run when they sweat, who knows. I still feel homesick and I doubt that I'll ever get used to such a small town compared to Tokyo.

I've made a really good friend name Cassie too. Quick description of Cassie: 5ft tall, blonde hair, green eyes, pale skin, skinny, good sense of humour, clumsy. We met in town on Tuesday and have been inseparable since. Even if we did meet by her tripping and spilling milkshake all over my t-shirt. Afterwards, we went back to mine, ordered pizza (after I had changed into something that didn't reek of strawberry) and just messed around. She also introduced my to "the world of Dan and Phil" as she put it, on her phone. I'd never heard of them before but I like their videos and we spend a lot of time reenacting funny moments and looking at memes on tumblr. By the time she went home it was 10 o' clock at night and her dad had to pick her up (she nearly fell down the stairs on her way out). The next day at school we found out that we had most of our classes together and our surnames meant that for most we are sat together.

My mama seems to be a little happier, although it's clear that even she's finding the move difficult. I'm really getting curious over my Papa and what happened to him since Mama said that she would tell me once we were in England but I don't want to upset her and he still seems to be a sensitive topic.

I wish I knew though.
