With Mason bleeding out profusely, a raging Wolf having lost control, and Soren having kidnapped me, Messiah was the only one I could seek comfort in. I didn't know what to do and I didn't want any part of this world. I didn't care if I somehow had Soren's lost soul, or was the Mate of an Alpha, or whatever it was. Maybe things would be better if I just didn't exist. As soon as I thought that, I felt a hand latch onto my wrist, snapping my head down towards Mason as he spoke through a stream of black blood. "Don't you even dare," he mumbled, seeming to already know where my current train of thought was leading, and released my arm as he began coughing once more, the jagged bite on his shoulder still spewing black blood.
I sniffled and wiped my tears as I pulled out of Messiah's embrace. "I just can't, Mason," I whispered, having completely given up on life.
"Whoa, did he do a number on you," a voice above spoke, and both Messiah and I glanced up in time to see Liam fly down to the ground on his pale pink wings, pulling the baby blue t-shirt he held in his hand over his head. "Next time, I'd like to be present when the Angel gets knocked on his ass."
