I folded my arms and sat grumpily in the Office chair opposite the other person behind the desk, who I had been avoiding eye contact with for the past hour and refusing to speak to. There was only one person I'd talk to, and they wouldn't even let him stay here. Life was so unfair. Especially with having been sent to 'Summer Camp'. I swear I was going to kill Liam.
"You have to talk to me some time, Amber," he reasoned, and I would've glared at him for saying my name since he had no right to, but I still refused to look at him despite being dressed rather handsomely in a pale gray t-shirt with a white neckline, white sneakers, and a pair of midnight Calvin Klein jeans. He groaned. "I said I was sorry." That still won't help Mason heal faster. "If I let him in here, then will you talk to me?" I looked towards the door in answer. He sighed and stood up before walking over to the door, leaving me alone in the Office for the first time since I was practically taken here against my will. I might as well have just been kidnapped again since this was close to it. I knew this was a stupid idea from the start.
I looked over at the desk, noticing a small glass figurine of a howling Wolf perched on one corner, and lifted my converse-covered foot towards it as I nudged it over the edge, the glass shattering on impact with the hard-wood floor. I hated Wolves. I exhaled loudly when I heard the door open and turned to look over my shoulder, smiling in relief at the sight of my best friend as I rushed out of my seat to throw my arms around him.
Messiah grinned down at me before noticing the shattered glass Wolf and raised a curious blonde brow at me. "Really, Am? Tantrums?" Today he wore a short-sleeved, loose-fitted midnight t-shirt paired with dark wash jeans and black sneakers, whereas I wore a thick-strapped hot pink summer tank with a pair of capri jeans and white ballet flats.
I shrugged and crossed my arms once I had released him from our hug. "Hey, he deserves it. He nearly killed me, and Mason got hurt because of it. I can play stubborn all I want, since, you know, I've practically been kidnapped again," I waved my hand carelessly as Messiah chuckled.
