After all that bullshit with that mother fucker, Jake- I was worried about Dean. I don't know if she's always had problems with that sort of thing and I didn't know if I should ask. "So, are you sure you're okay?" I stopped to look at her. "Yeah, I'm fine" She smiled but I could see that she was still distraught. "I'm taking my sister out to eat if you wanna come" I offered.
"Yeah that'd be nice" I smiled.
After our shifts were over I waited for my sister to come pick us up. I sat next to her as she smoked her cigarette. "I'm sorry you had to see me like that" I mumbled. "What do you mean?" She asked as she put out her cigarette. "I didn't mean to get all angry in front of you" I mumbled again. "Adam, don't worry about it." She reassured me. "I've seen what happens to people that get that shit done to them. They get anxiety disorders and then they don't tell anyone and she's still healing from it. She still has nightmares." She gave me a confused look. "Who?" She asked. "My sister. I promised myself that if I saw someone being hurt like that I'd step in. If I would have known she was being hurt I would have done something" I looked over at her. She opened her mouth to speak but before she coukd say anything my sister pulled up. "Hey, you guys ready to go eat?" We both nodded and pilled into the truck.
"Okay, so, I have no idea where to eat. In Texas we have like Whataburger and steak houses. Is there anything different here?" My sister spoke up, laughing a little bit. "Well I don't really go out to eat, but we could get pizza or something?" Dean spoke up. I guess we were just gonna stay at the apartment. "Home it is!" My sister started driving us to the apartment.
We all got out of the vehicle and my sister made it to the front door first. Me and Dean ran up the stairs. "I swear this is the most I've exercised in months." Dean spoke, breathing heavily. It was about 4 flights of stairs. Nothing too bad but it does get annoying everytime I want to leave the apartment. We entered and my sister immediately ran to the bathroom. "Dude, I had to piss so fucking bad!" I coukd hear my sister yell in the bathroom. I laughed a little.
"So Dean, you're from Seattle, right?"
"Yeah"
"Did you ever get to meet cool bands? A lot of them started in Seattle."
"Sadly, I haven't. But I'm actually making my own music. Maybe I'll be as good as they turned out to be"
"Really?? Hey, Tayler get out here! I think we have a soon to be famous person in our apartment!" I yelled laughing a little.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" She asked running out of the bathroom.
"Deans making music" I mumbled.
"Oh- OHHHH SHIT. Let's celebrate how fucking cool this is, okay?" She spoke excitedly. "Adam, where's your alcohol?!" She asked running in the kitchen. "The top shelf"
"Adam, I'm too fucking short" She yelled as she climbed the counter to reach the top shelf. She got cups out and poured us all a drink. We all sat down and talked for a lot longer then I thought. It was about 2 in the morning. "Dude, it's 2am!" My sister yelled from the couch. "All the more reason for you not to yell" I spoke to her. The neighbors around here were not to much of a fan of noise and I'd rather not deal with assholes. "I probably need to be getting home now" Dean spoke up. "I'll see you at work?" I nodded. "No, no, hey, come watch Star Wars with me!" Tayler continued yelling. I could tell she was a bit drunk. "Well I've never seen any of the movies" Oh my god. "What?!" Both me and my sister looked at her. "Marathon!!" My sister yelled. I nodded. "It begins" I spoke menacingly.
We all sat down and watches episode 1-3 before Tayler complained about needing to shower. "Dude, I feel disgusting. I haven't showered in like 2 days" She groaned. "Go take a shower, nasty" I teased. She gave me a dirty look. "We will pick up where we left off tomorrow? I really have to get home now it's almost 6am" She got up and smiled. "I'll see you later" She grabbed her stuff. "You're not going out there by yourself are you?" I asked her and I grabbed my jacket. "Well, yeah. I mean-"
"I'm walking you home" i put my jacket on and we walked out the door. We talked the whole way to her apartment complex. I think this means we're all officially friends now.
