It was a new night and Robin had already managed to get himself into trouble,"Get back over here!" A man yelled as he began chasing the younger teenager. Robin had just stolen a bag full of food from a local grocery store and he was currently running away from the store owner.

"Get back here! You need to pay for those!" Robin smirked. Stealing gave him an adrenaline rush, and he loved the feeling of it. It gave him a thrill that only made him want to steal more. Though, he no longer felt that way whenever he saw the looks on the owners faces. They always looked distraught and hurt, and those looks gave Robin a large amount of grief.

Though, he ignored those feelings, and made it back to his room, quickly placing the food on his bed, and then he left. Tonight he was going to find Batman and prove to him that he isn't some defenseless kid. He could handle himself.

So, Dick began jumping from rooftops hoping to see Batman doing something that he needed helped on. And then, as if on cue, a large explosion erupted two blocks behind him. If Batman was going to be anywhere, he was going to be there.

Batman ducked to avoid the large threatening vines of Poison Ivy's plants.
"This isn't so fun, when I can't catch you." Ivy complained as she attacked with even more power.

Unfortunately, a vine snuck up behind Batman and he became wrapped within her vines. He tried to escape, but ultimately failed.

"I got you now!" Ivy smiled as she lowered herself to be near Batman.

"Not so fast." Yelled the voice of a young male. Ivy looked up only to be kicked in the face by a young boy.

"Who are you?" She growled.

"That doesn't really matter." Robin replied as he began to throw small bombs onto the plant.

"My babies!" Ivy screamed as she lunged towards Robin. Robin easily dodged all of her moves, but she couldn't dodge his. Soon enough, she was unconscious on the floor.
Robin then looked up only to see Batman watching him," I told you I could handle myself."

"Where did you learn to fight like that?" Batman seemed angry when he asked the question.

"I was trained."

"By who?"

"That's not important." Dick said slightly getting mad too at the thought of his Uncle and the Court.

"Yes, it is. The moves you used on Ivy were skills that would be used if one had to intention of killing."

"But I didn't kill her, so what does it matter?" Robin furrowed his eyebrows. He had been trained to kill, that was what the Court did, but Robin wouldn't kill. That was exactly why he put his life on the line by escaping, but Batman didn't know that.

"Kid, don't think I don't know that you're a criminal,"Batman spoke," I know about the stealing you do, and I have every right to throw you into jail."

Robin wanted to yell out that he needed that food to survive. That this was the only way he could live. It was either steal some food, or go around killing innocent people, but he didn't say any of that.

"Then why don't you." Robin muttered as he began to turn around and walk away. Either Batman didn't hear him, or he wasn't going to respond, but either way, Robin didn't care.

Maybe if Robin was in jail, he would be more safer from his Uncle and the Court. Perhaps, he wouldn't be, but he had stolen. And Batman had labeled him. Not as a hero, or a lost and lonely boy, but a criminal. Someone who does bad things just for fun. A person who feels no guilt after doing an awful deed. And that's exactly what Batman saw Robin as.
