Robin groaned as he leaned on the large rock beside him.
It was extremely hot, with the bright sun beating down on the large isolated desert. The sun was also causing large amounts of light, forcing Robin to squint due to the brightness.
Robin turned his head to see lots of sand being ruffled from a vehicle that was nearing him.
Perhaps the desert wasn't as isolated as he first thought...
The vehicle had a camouflage design and was carrying two men, both heavily loaded with weapons.
Worried about being noticed by the men, Robin hid behind the large landform next to him as the men obliviously drove by.
"Those were Bialyan Republican Army Uniforms, but what are Bialyans doing in uh..." Robin reached for his holo-glove to search for his location,"Bialya? Okay, better question, what am I doing in Bialya? In September?! What happened to March?"
Robin pondered those facts. How could that be? Just yesterday it was March and just yesterday he was training with his Uncle at the Courts hideout.
Robin finally decided to take notice into his uniform,"What am I wearing?" He spoke as he examine the clothing on him. The Court would never let him go out wearing something like that. It was too bright, and honestly, it wasn't even Dicks style. Though it did look some what familiar...
He needed a way to contact the Court of Owls to find out exactly what happened, but he had never actually been in the field in a real-life scenario, only tests- that's it! This all just had to be a test. Simple enough, but what was his objective?
At least the test thing relieved his confusion a bit, but he still wanted to contact his Uncle and understand why he was here with no memory.
Then Robin felt the comm in his ear. The Court of Owls don't use comms.... Who was on the other end?
He put his hand up to it only for a vision of a man dressed in a black bat suit to pass,"Maintain radio silence at all times ."
"Sorry, weird bat dude, but I gotta' contact that Court of Owls." Robin decided to contact his Uncle using his holo-computer. There was a secret computer at the hideout that was used specifically for these kind of scenarios. Hopefully, when his Uncle saw the message, he would not be too upset that Robin tried to contact him during (what Robin believed to be) a test.
Robin simply sent the coordinates with a small message: What is my objective? -R.G.
Robin decided to look around. He flipped off of the large rock and headed to his right, away from where the Bialyans were headed.
Upon approaching a small rock that was jutting from the sand, Robin noticed a piece of ripped up fabric. On the black fabric was a red "s" that was outlined with a red diamond.... Did he know that symbol? He shook those thoughts away. No, he didn't. He was just confused.
"Well, off I go to explore."
---
Robin was beginning to grow aggravated. None of his questions were being answered, and he was just growing more confused by the second. Plus, the Court had not responded to him. Had he made a mistake by contacting them?
To list his problems, first of all, he was in some strange country.
Second, he was in a weird costume and had some vision of a man bat thing.
