10- Rose Gardens, Filled With Thorns

(John's POV,)

"John..." Katy whined, this is the fifth time this morning, "what?" I asked her calmly even though I am irritated. "I don't feel well." She groaned coughing twice after those words left her mouth. "Go back to sleep babe" I ordered, "you've been saying this for the past hour and I can't sleep" she whined. Wrapping her arms around my torso and resting her head on my chest.

I stroked her delicate hair and kissed her temple assuring her that everything is going to be okay soon, although I know this day is going to be a long one, just from this start. "I need to drop some papers off the studio," she quickly announced leaving the bed and making her way towards the bathroom.

I sighed, I know she is not feeling well. And going to work is just going to make it worse. But being the stubborn Katy she is, she'll go to work to finish her stuff quickly so she can clear off her mind to relaxation and meditation.

Moments later, Katy came out dressed in some sweats and a T-shirt. "Baby I am taking you to work." I confirmed, she shook her head no, "No, continue your sleep, Okay?" she replied a bit hesitated before walking towards me, I stood up and walked to her then carefully wrapping my arms around her fragile body, she responded by wrapping her arms around my neck and resting her forehead against my neck making me quickly realize how hot her temperature was.

I cupped her face and quickly looked in her now gray eyes and kissed her forehead, "Take some Advil before you leave, Okay?" I demanded, making her slowly nod her head before closing her eyes and hugging me again, she looked drained and it hurt me so much that she needs to go to work.

"I have to go," she informed me, her voice seemed like she was going to lose it soon which made me only crave on holding her close to me all day even more. I kissed her cheek goodbye before she waved giving me a slight smile as she left the room.

I sighed and walked to the bathroom, I know my eyes won't close unless I am holding her close. I soon heard the front door shut following it a noise of her Audi roaring, well now I guess I am spending this morning alone. Without my baby, without my Katy.

(Katy's POV)

"Katy you alright?" Tamra asked concerned about my health, which was really sweet of her, she was such a legit assistant. "Yeah, Just a little sick," I replied once she started stroking my hair. "A little sick? You seem much drained, go home and relax for a while I am sure John will take good care of you." She quickly replied. "We can postpone the meeting to this evening, Now go home, Kate." She said with her usual warm-heartedness.

I smiled as she helped carry my bag and walked with me towards my car, "Thank you, babe." I thanked gratefully for having such a person in my life. She extended her arms for a hug making smile and give her one, "Remember that I am not Just you assistant, I am your best friend too, because in reality you mean something to me Katy, if you ever need something you know you can call me whenever. I will always hear you pour your little heart out, Okay?" she said pulling out from the hug and looking into my eyes.

"Thanks" I smiled with my now soon to be lost voice. "Now go home and rest with your boyfee," she grinned poking my upper arm once I opened the driver door to get in. "Do you need a ride?" I asked and she shook her head no slowly getting away from the car and waving her hand as the cold air hit us. The car roared making me sit waiting a couple of minutes for the car to warm up.

Soon enough, I sped out of the parking lot and into the driveway out of Capitol Records.

"I am home!" I said crackly, I should shut up to leave some voice for later. Suddenly John came walking out from the kitchen and swiftly opened his arms for me to go in them, I smiled running over to him- and wrapping my arms around his sexy body.
