"Baby you can go upstairs. I'll clean up don't worry." John smiles softly as he continues to collect the plates and cups from the dining table, I take one last glance at the pile of presents by my living area before slowly heading upstairs.
This party was honestly not one of those loud parties that I usually throw, but instead a dinner party, in other words, a little grown up. There was no loud music, no junk food or disco lights, just a simple party, dinner and little chats in the backyard.
I examine my short silky white dress and fix the little details on the bottom.
As I finally arrive upstairs, I pass the big mirror and take a step by back to look at myself, the pretty flower crown sitting crooked on my head and my hair falling down my neck and some locks fell behind my back. I really changed, I feel pretty, I feel beautiful. Even though depression still takes a place in my life, Most of it disappeared. I don't look like a stick anymore, my cheeks are now just as chubby as they were before. And that makes me happy.
A weird feeling rushed through my belly and I smile at the unexpected sensation. Maybe I am starting to love myself again now, I mean I wouldn't be surprised, John does make an effort to make me realize the unique things I have that most of the people in this world don't have. Like, does everyone have color changing eyes? No, not even my sister or brother, its something beautiful I realized that I have, well, John made me realize that I have.
I chuckle before fixing the flower crown, Giggling once I realized how little petals were everywhere around my scalp. Finally, I decide to walk off and into my room to change into something a little comfier.
As I grip on the door handle, I could hear the sound of soft music filling my ears and I smile knowingly. John has set this up whilst I was occupied with someone else, he probably set up one of my friends to help him do this, but my question is, how did he plan this when we were out of Los Angles for almost two weeks? Damn, he just finds a way to do everything even if it's impossible, No actually. Nothing is impossible for this man.
I apply some pressure on the door handle and unlock the door before stepping in. I was met by a breathtaking view, too beautiful for me to describe. Little red rose petals delicately placed on the bed- their beautiful smell filling the atmosphere and soft Whitney Houston music playing in the background. I gasp quietly, staring around the room, the only source of light were scented candles. the white duvet was new and fresh, the white color looked so pretty with the velvet red petals.
A purple velvety looking box on top of the sheets, a basket right beside it, with a bottle of White Wine and two glasses. The pillows were fluffed just in the right shape, and the duvet was ironed and starched perfectly, the moonlight shined beautifully making everything even more perfect than it already is.
I exhale softly, my mind finally at ease, it was just like the depression and fear sailed away. I didn't even notice that my teeth were digging my bottom lip before I tasted the claret blood. I was honestly speechless, no one has ever done this for me. And when I say no one I seriously mean no one, not Russell, Rob, or even Travie, no one at all. I should've expected it at least from Travie who had bought me a promise ring, but he didn't.
I feel loved somehow, I feel valued, wanted, and appreciated, which was rare in my shoes. My hands were slowly covering my mouth as I smile at the beautiful sight.
Suddenly, a familiar touch stroke through my body, the comforting touch of none other than John Clayton Mayer. I turn around and wrap my arms around his waist and inhale softly as he pulls me and holds me tight in his arms.
"Thank you," I murmur into his chest, the beautiful scent of his Bleu De Chanel perfume filling the air that surrounds him. I can hear him chuckle softly in my hair as I cuddle myself more into his muscular chest.
