***THE next day during lunch, my friends and I are talking about Ash's beach birthday in a few days when Coal walks over to me, a cocky smirk on his face.
"Hi Chantelle." He says with a million-dollar smile and I wince at the sound of my name while Coal raises his eyes at me, slightly smirking when he catches me wincing.
"Hi. I said I prefer Elle." I correct but he waves it away, shrugging as he takes a seat besides me before I can even protest.
"Mind if I sit here?"
"You already have." I mumble in frustration, scowling.
"So Elle, whose your new friend?" Stacey asks, fluttering her eyes at Coal, who doesn't look her way once, causing her to frown at me so I shrug.
"Coal, this is Stacey, Lou, Bryce, Travis and Alison." I introduce.
"Nice too meet you." Coal says in a bored tone, stealing a fry from my tray. Someone tugs on my ponytail and I lift my head up, Alex smiles down at me and kisses me slightly, making me sigh in content.
"Hi Alex." I exhale when he sits beside me, slinging his arm over my shoulder.
"Hi. Who is the new dude?" Alex asks, glancing over at Coal.
"Coal." Coal shakes Alex's hand. "I'm Chantelle's new friend."
"Chantelle?" Alex raises his eyes at me and I frown at Coal.
"I told him not to call me that." I explain. My phone vibrates and I get a text message from Macon, my dad's lawyer, my eyes quickly scan over the message.
Hurry over. You got a meeting with your father.
-Macon"I have to go. Tell Miss its a section 2." I say and pack my things up quickly.
"Section 2?" Coal asks, amused at the cod name we have. I don't bother answering his question as I sling my bag over my shoulder
"She's going to see her Dad." Stacey explains before looking at me with a worried look. "Be careful."
I smile, cold and the thrilling, one that makes my friends shiver with fear. "No one can hurt me. Who do you think I am?"
I leave the school grounds in a limo and drive to the jail custody, where they are holding my Dad. The driver opens my door and I thank him before entering the modern building, lights blinking as I walk towards the receptionist.
"Chantelle Kolsov to see Alexei Kolsov." I tell the receptionist. Her eyes widen in recognition and nods frantically, tuning furiously away on the computer.
"This way Ma'am."
She leads me through the grey hall, only the florescent light is the resource of light. We get to the visiting room and she whispers to the cop standing there. He nods, glancing at me quickly, and speaks inside his walkie talkie.
"Please come inside. Mr Kolsov will see you in a moment." He says and I take a seat on one of the empty table. The cops start escorting people out the room, leaving me by myself, alone in the huge room.
No one knows how my Dad looks like or it because a threat to his life. After everyone has gone, the cops get replaced with Dads bodyguards, the only set of trained guards that are allowed to see my dad's face. It's important to keep him hidden when he's in prison in case someone comes after him and tries to murder him.
"Elle." Max, Dad's main bodyguard, kisses my cheek.
"Hi Max. I need to ask you something."
"Ask away."
