I kiss Coal, gently and softly. He wraps his arms around me and drags me to his lap to allow him to have more access to my body.

I pry his mouth open and let him deepen the kiss, heat rushing through my body, through my blood and making my heart beat a hundred time faster than usual. Currently, we are sitting on the beach while the sun set over the horizon, the waves gently crashing onto the ground while I make out with Coal, smiling every time he kisses me softly and not heavily.

"Guys?" I hear Stacey call and I break away from Coal, watching him smirk while I blush at the fact that someone caught us. "You two lovebirds can eat each other's faces later but we need to start fixing up the beach for the carnival."

"Coming." I shout and she sighs, walking away, knowing that we are going to take our time.

"Let's go." He says and helps me stand up. However I pull him back to my lips and a smirk crawls onto his lips.

"Or we can carry on."

He lifts me up and I wrap my legs up his waist, my fingers running through his brown locks, gasping as he bites into my bottom lip and pushes himself against me, my core heating at his touch, my heart beating faster than the speed of light.

"Coal, Elle!" Lou shouts and we pull away again, sighing in distress and annoyance.

"Let's go." I order and Coal pouts but I smile and entwine our fingers together as we walk towards our friends, who are waiting patiently for us at the beach shack further down the beach.

"Okay. Here's the plan." Stacey begins, looking at all of us. "Travis and Alison, you head for the foods and drinks." They nod in understanding.

"Bryce, me and Lou will head for the booths. Coal and Elle will do the music and Elle, I was hoping if you-"

"No." I say abruptly, cutting off my best friend because I know what she is going to ask.

"Why? Please." Stacey pleas with a pout.

"I'm not going to do it."

"Coal, tell her."

"Tell her what?" He asks, a confused look covering his face.

"To sing. Elle is amazing." Stacey brags, her lips pouting at me.

"True." Lou and Bryce agree and I glare at them.

Thanks guys.

"Come then, Chantelle. Sing for us." Coal taunts teasingly and I sigh as I surrender to my friend's demands.

"I hate you." I groan and they all cheer in happiness and I roll my eyes.

"Right, let's head off." Stacey says. As everyone walks to their position, I grab Stacey's wrist, making her to come to a halt.

"Where's Alex?" I whisper in concern, hoping Coal doesn't hear me.

"Have no idea but he doesn't matter." Stacey shrugs and walks away after giving me a soft smile.

Once everyone has left, Coal takes my hand and we walk down the shoreline of the beach, the small waves crashing against the gold sand in a rhythmic way while the yellow sun finally hides.

"Sing something for me." Coal suddenly asks.

"Like what?" I say, frowning.

"Anything."

I think for a moment before looking at Coal with a grin. "Tell me something I need to know, then take my breath and never let it go."

I walk further ahead, walking backwards so Coal can still see me sing. "If you just let me invade your space, I'll take the pleasure and take it with the pain."

Coal claps and I smirk with pride. "You are amazing."

"Thank you." I say and he takes my hand again, making me shudder with pleasure from his touch.

"Why don't you like singing?" He asks and I look up at him, my eyes furrowing as he looks down at me with concern and worry.

"I do, just not in front of people." I reply bluntly, not wanting to go into greater detail about how my Mom used to sing to me and taught me to sing.

Coal silently thinks for a moment, his eyes trained on the path in front of us as we swing our entwined hands back and forth.

"I'll play the guitar if you sing." He blurts out.

"You can play the guitar?" I gape at him and Coal grins, tugging me closer towards his body.

"Yes, I taught myself."

"I guess you learn something new everyday." I kiss him, leaving my lips lingering on his. When I pull back, I give him a devilish smirk and watch him frown. "Want to know something else?"

"What?" He asks, leaning for another kiss, his breath hot against my lips.

"It's my birthday next week. Next Sunday to be more exact." I murmur, biting my lower lip.

Coal chuckles. "I need to find you a gift." I lean up against his ear, nobbling on his earlobe and watching him shiver from my touch.

"I know the perfect gift." I purr playfully, before lingering my lips back to Coal's. My arms curls around his neck and he tightens his arms around my waist, bringing me closer, his breath hitching at my touch. "It involves you, me and our clothes on the floor."

"Is that so?" He smirks onto my lips after tugging me towards his chest, my core warm from the his touch.

"What do you think?" I tease softly, kissing my boyfriend's jawline, his eye fluttering closed as he relishes my touch.

"I think we should catch dinner." Coal grins at me, pulling back as a teasing and devilish glint flickers through his beautiful eyes. I laugh as he twines his fingers with mine and we walk back to the car, content with our life and nothing more.
