^Picture of Coal^

IT feels like forever and you can see the moon rising. The room is freezing, coldness biting against my skin as I chatter, a faint flicker of light above me, only useful to see anyone a metre close to me.
Why do I have to die in the dark where it's cold? I scowl to myself.
My fingers struggles to reach the knot and I sigh in defeat until an loud click echoes through the room. I look at the door but it's closed so I glance around the room. Suddenly, the vent door opens from the roof and Coal fall onto the floor with a quiet groan, clutching onto his arm that probably is now bruised.
"Fuck." He hisses under his breath but when he meets my eyes, even in the dark, I see a smile of relief on his face.
"Damn it. Where were you?" I scowl, feeling the rope burn against.
He brushes himself down and smirks at me. "I told you that you'd need me."
"Untie me." I hiss and he walks over, quickly loosening the knots while muttering under his breath how ungrateful I am.
His fingers brush against my wrist and I flinch, feeling a spark spread around my skin and a blush rise on my cheek. Coal looks up and frowns but in the faint light, he can't see my flushed face.
"Where were you?" I ask again as I stand up and brush the dust off my clothes.
"Dimitri is unloading boxes. I went to go find out what it is because I saw you with Alex, I thought you could handle the situation." He smirks at me again and I scowl.
Soon a dreading look covers his face as if he just remembered something. "Chantelle, it's money. From what I heard, there's about 100 boxes that was shipped n a few days ago. A box could fill maybe a million dollars."
"100 million dollars." I whisper and imagine Coal nodding with that confused look on his face that makes his green eyes darken.
"I have no idea what he is doing with it but what's even weird is that he's placed a small bomb in about fifty of the boxes. I did find a code while I was listening to the conversations."
"What is it?" I ask frantically.
"Al3X31." He whispers. I whisper the code over and over, remembering it from somewhere. I've definitely heard it from somewhere but where?
I gasp suddenly. "That's Dad's company." Then something dawns on me. "He's stealing from Dad and planting bombs in them so when they are dropped at the house they would explode. But how did he know that the money shipment came in a few days ago? Only someone from the Russian Mafia would know."
"Someone had to be close to get to dad, which would mean get close to me, which would've given them access to the system that is a branch from The Chip. Only someone close to us and we'll know can do that. Which then would mean-" I stop and widened my eyes, realisation hitting me once again.
Everything is falling into place.
But at the same time, my life is falling out of place.
"What?" I look at Coal and his green eyes watching me,worry and panic glimmering in them.
"Ben." I say in disgust. "He used me because we are really close friends. I always have to seduce him to get him to do what I want. I can't believe he betrayed me. For fuck sake!"
"Chantelle, we will find a way. I'm here."
No matter what, Coal will never know how much those words meant. I never had someone beside me because I always feared that I would hurt them but Coal is different. I have faith that he won't get hurt, that I won't get hurt, because he's next to me. He gives me that faith. And he has the power to take it away from me.
"I know." I nod, determinedly, and he smiles, softly.
"Come on. Follow me." Coal takes my hand and leads us out the room. We quietly walk down the foyers, following the sound of peoples' voices. As we walk, I gently press against my necklace, specialised to send signals of distress to my father.
There is dark wooden door that stands in front of if us, blocking us from seeing the other side. It is tall, towering over us. I turn the cold knob and open the door slowly before slipping inside and hiding behind a crate. Coal copies me but he closes the door then hides behind the crate. Cautiously, we crawl behind the stack of boxes right at the back of the warehouse and watch the men unload them, chatting between each other as louder laughters filled the air. Some even dare to look inside, grinning viciously at each other when they lift the money into their hand.
"I've got an idea." I whisper, glancing around the room, my necklace throbbing against my chest, telling me that my Dad has got the message.
"What?" He asks quietly, eyes never leaving the scene in front of us.
"Improv." I smile at Coal and he frowns as I walk out from behind the boxes, confidently with a Colt smirk on my face.
"Chantelle, how is that a plan?" He hisses quietly but I ignore him as I walk towards the men.
"Boys?" I say and all the men look at me. "What on earth are you doing?" Murmurs and whispers flood the room, I also hear triggers click into place, ready to shoot me if anything happens.
"Elle?" I watch Dimitri appear from behind the group of men huddled in the corner and my heart almost stops. Almost. "Why are you here?"
"I've come to get Dad's money. What are they doing?" I lie swiftly and he inches closer to me, his hands behind his back.
"Unloading the plane. I wanted to give it to you personally." Dimitri smiles viciously and I cock my head to the side.
"Were you?" I whisper, frowning.
"Excuse me?" He frowns and I quickly beam at him.
"I said, were you? Oh thank you Dimitri." I exclaim with fake sincerity and he feigns a smile. "Could they unload it into my card instead?"
"Of course they could but it's already in these vans. We will just drop it off." He says bitterly. "A way of me asking for forgiveness from your father."
"Oh. Well, alright then. Be careful." I twist on my heel and walk away, smirking to myself when I hear cars in the background. "There's bombs inside them."
