MAX comes up to me when I'm talking to Stacey and my friends, my friends watch him with shock while I grit my teeth together, clenching my fist in annoyance. His face is void of emotion but if you look clearly enough, you can see the worry and panic in his eyes.
He whispers urgently. "You Dad has very important and serious news and it involves you." His tone is firm and sharp, a tone I never thought he would use with me.
It makes me worry but I still don't go to Dad. I still stay away even when my subconscious is kicking at the back of my mind, telling me to go and stop acting up.
But I don't go. I can't go. I'm afraid to go. I'm afraid that Coal might be hurt.
