The football game scene is crap. Sorry in advance.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Today is the most important day of you high school football career. Are you ready?" I asked Jason with excitement and he yawned.
"It's seven thirty in the morning." He grumbled and I handed him a cup of coffee. "I already had two cups this morning."
"Of course you did." He shook his head.
"Did you well sleep last night?" I asked him.
"Barely a blink. My shoulder is stiff as shit." He grumbled.
"Will you be able to play?" I frowned.
"I'm playing whether I'm able to or not." He sipped his coffee.
"I do not like the sound of that." I grimaced and his lips pulled into a lazy grin.
"Well I didn't ask you." He said and my eyebrows pulled downward.
"Case, I'll be fine."
"If you can't play one game it doesn't mean you're a bad player, it just mean you're injured." I tried to explain. But I knew it wouldn't help. He's determined to play and I can't say or do anything about it. Besides, Theo might have been able to get us to states, but I don't think he'd be able to bring us those rings.
"I'm playing." He said firmly and I nodded.
"Is Lizzie coming to the game?" I asked trying to change the subject.
"Yes. And if I'm unlucky, my father will be there too." He nodded.
"You don't want your dad at your game?" I questioned.
"Have you met my father? Can you even picture him at a game?" He asked. He seems amused and sadden by the idea.
"He's never been to you games?" I asked.
"He use to come all the time before my mom left." He said bitterly and I regretted asking the question. "But he became a workaholic and he hasn't been to one since I was in eighth grade." He shrugged.
"Well it's his loss." I told him and he smiled down at me.
"Because your butt look so good in those pants." I said innocently. He looked at me in shock and I nodded at him.
"I don't think he would care about that." He said letting out a laugh.
"I don't care if he cares. I care, and that's all that matters."

"Coffee is over there." I smiled at Katie and she glared at me.
"I don't drink that shit." She snapped and I bit back a smile as she stomped away. Man, I thought I wasn't a morning person.
"There's hot chocolate too." I added. She turned back around and glared at me on her way towards the beverage table.
"Manning." Coach called and I walked towards him.
"Here are your passes. You also get this snazzy jacket, courtesy of the parent volunteers." He said handing one of each to me and the three water boys.
