Marina's POV

After wandering the streets late at night for what seemed to be forever I managed to find a decent looking hotel and got a room for myself. I didn't bother calling Charli and asking if I could stay at her place because she hardly ever answers her calls and all I do is get frustrated. But now that I'm awake I can't see why I shouldn't give it a shot. So I dial her number.

*ring...ring*

C: Hey babe!
M: Hey doll, listen I need to ask you a favor.
C: Sure, what's up?
M: Can I crash at your place for a little while?
C: What? Marina you're in New York
M: Nope. My parents faked that my dad is ill so now I'm back here. And you live close to my parents so.
C: Holy shit really?! Sure hon! When do I see you?
M: I'll be there in 10.
C: Aight! Toodles!

I don't know what it is about Charli, but she has something appealing. Ever since we first met as kids she's been my best friend. And now we're both singers, how crazy is that? I put my hair up in the same messy bun as yesterday and head out, I'm glad I didn't bring much stuff, and I'm sure I can borrow some of Charli's clothes. As I check out and walk outside I remembered why I hate it here. It's always so grey and cloudy. Or at least, it always is whenever I seem to be around. Oh well. I head to Charli's place and I can practically already see it from where I am. I smile as I stand in front of her house. I used to come here all the time. The hours I've spent here are uncountable. I knock on her door only to, again, be greeted by a hug. A firm hug that is, but also a loving hug. A hug only a best friend can give. I drop my bag and hug her back tightly. I've missed her so much. Once we let go of each other she grabs my hand and pulls me inside. It's just like it used to be, it's so nice and cozy. I then realize she's waving her hand in front of my face. "What?" I softly ask. "How was it in New York, dummy?" She replies, sounding as enthusiastic. "Amazing! I had such a great time, until my parents rudely interrupted me. Though.. I met a special someone." I shyly say. "Really?! Fucking really?! I'm so happy for you! But let me guess, they couldn't come with you?" she asks, and my face instantly turns from happy to sad as I think about Liz. "No.. Her parents didn't let her fly back to England with me." I reply. "Her? Don't you mean him? Cus I don't remember you saying you're lesb-" "That's because I never said it. And also I'm bisexual." I cut her off. "Oh, well not that there's anything wrong with it. I mean it's kinda hot to be honest, I wouldn't mind taking a lil' sneak peek at you two." She jokes, and I playfully hit her arm.

---

After hours and hours of talking and me explaining how beautiful Liz is the evening has come, and we order some pizza. Once dinner is over we talk some more, and we basically fall asleep ontop of eachother.
