Marina's POV

I wake up with a sleeping Elizabeth clinging to me. She's beautiful in the sunlight. She's beautiful without makeup. She's perfect. And I'm in love with her. I woke up from the sound of my phone buzzing, so I carefully reach over to check what's going on.

3 missed calls: Manager

What's so important that he has to call me three times at 9 am? I loosen myself from Liz' grip and sit on the edge of the bed, deciding to call him back.

*ring...ring*
Mngr: Ah, yes, Marina, glad you're calling back.
M: Morning, what's so important?
Mngr: Well.. Listen Marina, you're not going to like this. I know you're busy with your new gal pal and all, but your parents called me. They need you at home. So instead of one month left you have one day. By the end of today I expect you packed and all by my appartment. Understood?
M: You're joking right? What do they need me for anyways?
Mngr: Your dad got terribly ill. You don't want to be miles away from him if something happens don't you?
M: No.. No I don't. Fine, tonight I'll be packed.
Mngr: Great, your parents will be very happy to hear this darling.
M: Yeah yeah, whatever.

And with that I hung up. One day left here, in New York. In Elizabeths company. Elizabeth! I quickly turn around to see her looking at me in the same spot I left her in. "Marina, are you leaving me?" She softly asks, her voice cracking. I crawl back onto the bed, lifting her up ever so slightly so I can hold her head in my hands. "Liz listen, we both knew I eventually had to leave. But my manager said I have to leave earlier than expected because my dad got really ill. I-I never wanted it to go this way and I don't want to leave you I really don't, and, and-" I didn't realize I was crying until I felt her thumb wiping a tear away on my cheek. "Baby don't cry, you're a star, I'm an ordinary girl from New York. I bet you have plenty of other girls and/or even boys who want to be by your side. It was fun while it lasted, wasn't it?" How can she be so cheerful when she knows I have to leave? "It was, but I don't want it to end. I don't want those other girls or boys, I want you. Can't you come with me?" I ask her, hoping for a yes but fearing the worst. "My parents won't let me go, that's for sure. I'm so sorry." I start to cry even harder and she pulls me in close. I grab ahold of her shirt tightly, not wanting her to let go of me as I cry into her chest.

About half an hour later we're still laying in bed, me laying on her chest. "Just so you know, we aren't over, you're stuck with me." I softly joke as I feel her fingers interlace with mine. I hear her giggle. "Well, for that you'd have to marry me. But where's the ring, huh?" She replies. I sit up straight on top of her. "You just wait missy." I say, as I lean forward and kiss her on the lips.

It's 9 pm as my taxi arrives, and I know it's time for me to leave. As we stand in the door opening hugging I hear her parents coming and I slowly let go of her. "Marina, we haven't seen you a lot but thank you for cheering our daughter up while you were here, it really means a lot to us." Her dad says to me. "Well, thank you for making her, basically." I say with a soft giggle, and her dad laughs with me. Her mom stands there blushing. I say my goodbyes and give Elizabeth one last kiss. "Liz, my next performance will be live on tv. I want you to watch it, okay? July the seventh." I say to her, and she quickly nods. I walk to my taxi, put in my bag and open the door, before I get in I wave one last time. As I drive away I see Elizabeth walking towards the street to watch me leave. You stupid, adorable little dork.
