First Task - Chapter Eleven

Maddy's POV

It wasn't long until the first task. Only just over a week. Nothing has really happened with Fred and I. George on the other hand had been completely ignoring me! What is up with that? Is it because he kissed me but I'm now with Fred? I should talk to him. He has placed himself across the common room, as far as possible away from me. I walked over to him and sat down next to him. "Hey Georgie", I say sweetly. "Oh hi Maddy", he said softly. "You've been ignoring me for 8 days. Why? " I ask. "No reason. Just wanted time on my own", he says plainly. "Look, I can see something is clearly bothering you. Please tell me. You can trust me", I say. "Okay well, there's this girl and I like her. I thought something was going on between us but she went off with someone else", he says with his eyes starting to water. "Well who's the lucky girl? " I say in a girly voice. "You" he replies. Me? He likes me? Damn it! I'm confused and torn. "Maddy?"He asks. "What? " I snap. "I never should have told you. I regret it", he says sadly. "Well don't. You told me the truth and that's what counts. I wish I could give you a straight answer but I can't. I'm confused. Sorry", I say before getting up and walking away.

I sat on a chair and Fred came and sat next to me. "Hey love", he said. "hi" I say. "What's wrong? " he asked. "nothing", I lie, glancing over at George. I can't tell him what George said. I don't want their relationship to be ruined. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me.  

suddenly I felt the weight of Fred being forced of me.  

"Get off her!" George yelled as he tackled Fred. Everyone starting gathering around to see what was happening. "What do you mean? " Fred yelled. "Get off Maddy. She deserves better than you! " George yells. "STOP! Both of you! Stop acting childish and this out like men! Injuring yourself won't to anything!" I Yell. They stop and stand up. "Now apologise to each other", I command. "No", they grumble. "Do it".

After a lot of convincing they apologised to each other. "Well I'm going off to bed", I mumble. I kiss each of them in the cheek and head upstairs. Why is life so unfair?

A couple of days later...

"Freddie get off me!" I Yell. He was tickling me. On a lighter note I had introduced George to my friend Bri I had met on the first day. We were playing ice breakers (introduction games) and one boy accidently called her Bra. It was so funny. I will never let her live that down! They were currently snogging on the couch. pleasant isn't it. "Fred s-stop it. I gotta f-finish my homework! S-stop tick-ling me", I pant. "Fine. But after I get What's mine", he says. "What are you on about", I Laugh. "you'll see", he says with that charming smirk of his. "I don't like where this is heading", I reply. "Oh, I know you'll like it". I go and finish my potions homework before putting it back upstairs and sitting next to Fred.

He placed his hand on my knee and starting kissing me. I kissed him back. A group of first years groaned in disgust. I pulled out of the kiss breathless and amazed. Suddenly an owl swooped through the window and landed next to me. I noticed that it was Hendy.  

I opened the letter and realised it was Sirius' hand writing.

Dear Maddison,

Sorry I took so long to reply. I've had to change location. Since I'm being tracked please refer to me as snuffles now. So Dumbledore told you about Harry being your brother. You probably didn't know but Remus Lupin is your God Father. It probably is awkward between you two but you are friends. You could still be good friends and brother and sister at the same time. I heard you were a metamorphagus. My cousin Nymphadora Tonks is one too.
