Maddy's Point of ViewWe boarded the train as we usually did. It only felt as though we were just here coming home last time. I decided to go in a carriage with Luna, Neville, Ginny and Bri. As dearly as I wanted to console my loving brother after the passing of his godfather, I thought that I'd leave him be. Of course, I was grieving myself after his loss but I had to stay strong for Harry. As much as I longed for him to stay with me at the Weasley's, he had to stay at the Dursley's. Boy, was I glad that I didn't end up down that route, although my life would be much different if I had. I would have had a semi-normal childhood, rather than one filled with death and dark magic. The thought of this plunged me back into a flashback.

"Darling, why don't you and Draco play in this room for a while?" My mother said roughly, shoving the both of us into my bedroom. "Draco's parents, your father and I have something that we must deal with. Stay in here."
"Mother, we are too old to play. Draco is ten and I'm nearly eleven," I said, crossing my arms and sighing.
"Maddison, you know what happens to children who don't do what they're told, don't you?" my mother asked in a scolding tone. "Care to enlighten me to what that is, my darling?"
"You used the cruciatus curse on me," I replied in a wavering tone.
"That is correct, dear. Now stay in here or else."My mother walked away with a smirk on her face and a swagger in her hips. She had won at her own little game. She had used to crutiatus curse on me before. She believed that it was the only way to properly discipline a child, but despite her dreaded ideology, she never seemed to use these punishments on my brother; her perfect Daniel. She would pin me down on our manor's atrium floor and use restraints against me to keep me there. Sometimes the restraints would be in the form of a magical rope, and other times by the clutches of my own father, Augustus. My father enjoyed being rough with my younger self. Once he saw that a bruise had healed, he'd make a fresh one despite me having done nothing wrong. He was clever in doing so as he only ever bruised my body where nobody would see it so most would view us as the perfect family. We were the complete opposite of perfect. We were an utterly disgraceful and disfunctional family.
"So Draco, what should we do?" I asked in a sweet tone, not having a clue what to say.
"I don't know," he replied, rolling his eyes. "I don't want to be here with you."
"Well I don't want to be here either but we'll just have to deal with it," I explained to Draco. "We clearly have no say in the matter."
"What's that up there?" He asked suddenly distracted as he pointed to a box above my dark polished wardrobe.
"Dunno. It's some muggle game I found. I've never played it."
"We should play it, you know, to pass the time."
"Yes, but I don't see how we're going to get it down. It's rather high up and there are no chairs that we have access to."Draco suddenly ran up to my wardrobe, sliding off his shoes and using his upper body strength, supported by his feet, to hoist himself up to the top. Theoretically, this appeared as a brilliant idea to gain access to the game we now longed to play but practically, it did not work out too well. The perspiration that formed on Draco's feet and palms soon caused him to slip and fall off the wardrobe. Although he was not hurt, he cried out of pure shock.
"Are you okay, Draco?" I asked, rushing to his aid.
"I want my mum!" He cried.
"But we have to stay in here," I answered.
"Go and get my mum or I'll tell my father that you forced me to go up there and hurt myself."
"Fine."I slipped out of the room, cautious not to be caught by any staff of the manor and get into trouble. I walked down the dark halls, ensuring the my feet caused no sound against the cold, hardwood floors. I proceeded to walk down the stairs to where the sound of screams and yelling came from. I immediately felt terror pulsing through my veins but, shaking, I continued to walk towards the sound. As I approached our dining hall which seemed to be the source of the sound, I pressed my body against the wall, peering around the corner, attempting to stay out of sight.
