TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY- Chapter Sixteen

 

 

Maddy's POV

 

 

 I awoke from my slumber next to Fred. He was still asleep. Suddenly it hit me IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!!!! I got up and jumped on the bed. "FRED! WAKE UP FRED! IT'S CHRISTMAS! YAY!"  I screamed. Fred groaned. I hoped off the bed and pushed Fred off. "Child", Fred mumbled. "I'm going to my room to see what I got", I said excitedly. "Me too. After you unwrap them come downstairs to the common  room", Fred said before going over to George. I quickly put on my dress.

I sprinted it upstairs and opened the door to see the girls still asleep. "GIRLS! WAKE UP! IT'S CHRISTMAS! YAY! UGH, HURRY UP AND WAKE UP! IT'S  CHRISTMAS!", I yelled with  joy. "I know! Let me sleep!" Anilise groaned. "Uh whatever! Come and open your presents everyone!" I said. Hermione, Bri and Ginny got up and Anilise stayed asleep. "Whatever negative Nancy", I mumbled before going to my bed and grabbing the presents. "Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Troll the ancient Yule tide carol, Fa la la la la, la la la la", I sung as I started opening presents. The present was from my so called "mother" and "father". It was a spell book for Dark Magic and ten galleons. Thanks fake parents! NOT!

"Why did you get a book of Dark Magic spells?" Hermione asked. "It's from the parentals. They want me to be a Death Eater as well I suppose", I said as I grabbed the next present.

I looked at the presents I had received. I got a box of Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans from Harry, a box of Chocolate Frogs from Ron, a very nice dress from Ginny, a bikini from Bri, Some makeup and hair straightened/curler from Anilise, a broom cleaning kit from George, a book about famous Chasers from Hermione and 10 Galleons from Sirius. I was EXTREMELY happy with my load. Fred's gift was yet to come. I quickly went to the shower and then got dressed into red skinny jeans, a green Christmas shirt and a Varsity Jacket that with magic, made it Christmassy. Since I had finished unwrapped the presents I headed down to the common room to meet Fred. "Merry Christmas!" I said with a big grin. "Merry Christmas to you too", he said. "Hang on one moment", I said before sprinting upstairs to grab his present. I went back down and sat on next to him on the couch. "Merry Christmas again", I said as I gave him the wrapped gift. He opened it to find a collection of things from Zonko's including a Practical Joke book.

"Thank you", he said as he pecked my cheek. "Merry Christmas again, again", he said as he gave me the gift he got me. I opened it to find a beautiful dragon necklace that had an sapphire stone as the eye, sapphire earrings and a bracelet with  star shape charms on them. I looked at the charms to see writing on the back. The first said M.H+ F.W, the second was the date we met, the third was our first date, the third was our first time, the fourth was last night and fifth was a heart that said Forever and Always. "Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! This means so much to me!" I said as I pulled him into a bone-crushing hug. "Maddy... Can't... Breathe", he gasped. "Sorry. Do you mind putting the necklace on me please?" I asked. He nodded before he picked up the necklace, brushed my hair to the side and put the necklace around my neck. He started to kiss my neck. "Stop it Freddie", I whined. "I'm really hungry Freddie. Let's go get Breakfast", I said before standing up and linking my hand with his.

 

We stepped out of the Common Room to see the castle decorated in Christmas ornaments. The Great Hall was filled with Christmas trees, wreathes the roof  was enchanted to look as though it was snowing inside. Almost everyone was wearing something Christmassy. Luna was dressed up as a CHRISTMAS TREE! Mental that one is! I thought. I suddenly realised that I forgot to put my Christmas earrings in. Being the lazy person I am I decided to use the summoning charm! Oh yeah!  I pulled my wand out of the pocket of my jacket. "Accio Christmas earrings", I exclaimed and almost immediately the came to my aid. The earrings were Christmas tree's that had Christmas lights that actually lit up! Awesome, hey?! I pushed the button that illuminated the lights on the tree and put the earrings in my ears.
