What a few weeks it's been, eh?

"Let's go home, eh?" Rose said to Scorpius Saturday morning after he was given the all clear to be discharged from the hospital.

"Sounds like a plan, Rosie,"

The two of them left the hospital hand in hand and headed to Paddington station because apparating after having been hit with a curse as badly as Scorpius had was a recipe for disaster. Rose, more used to the muggle transport system than her husband, bought them two tickets.

"The journey will be about seven hours. I didn't realise how far away Cornwall is from London," Rose said, handing him his ticket and looking up at the board to see what platform they needed to be on.

"Ah, it's okay Rose. It'll be just like Hogwarts again. We first met on the train you know,"

"Yes, I know. Funnily enough, I was there, come on, it's platform four,"

The two of them got on the train and started their long journey back home.

"I hate not being able to use magic, everything is so slow," Scorpius complained (for what felt like the thousandth time) after four hours on the train, "this is what it must be like for Charlie, poor bloke,"

"Scorpius, honestly, just read a book or go to sleep or something, you're driving me insane,"

After a while, Scorpius did fall asleep, his face against the glass of the train window and his hand extended over to Rose, resting protectively on her left thigh.

Scorpius woke up to a gentle shake from his wife.

"Scorp, we're here, come on," she said. She pulled their bag off of the overhead luggage rack and led him off the train onto the platform. Their house was a good twenty minute walk from the station, on the wizard side of town. They decided to walk, Rose wary at first but agreeing after Scorpius insisted he'd be fine and that the air was good for him.

Rose unlocked the front door and dumped the bag on the floor next to the shoe rack.

"I'll make some tea," Scorpius said but before he could even get to the kitchen, several dozen people jumped out and yelled "surprise!"

He laughed in shock at the sight of the banner hung up in the lounge. It said 'happy housewarming' but was bewitched so that every few seconds it changed to say 'welcome back'.

Albus and Victoire came through the crowd of people.

"Did you do all this?" Rose asked them.

"Well, it was more Al, though I doubt he could have pulled it off without my expertise," Victoire replied.

"We knew you wanted to have a housewarming party today so we made sure it happened," Albus added, having to raise his voice a little as James turned on some music.

"But how did you do it all? I told everyone not to come," Rose inquired.

"Well, Al came to me last night..."

Albus knocked on Victoire and Teddy's front door, praying that one of them would be in. Just as he was about to leave, the door opened and there stood Victoire, her silvery hair shimmering in the light.

"Al, hey, this is a nice surprise. If you want Teddy, he's out at the moment but if it's me your after, come on in!"

"I need one of you, either will do," Albus said with a chuckle as he stepped inside and was led into the living room by his cousin.

"So, you alright Al?" Victoire asked, sitting down on the sofa.

"I need you to do something for me," Albus stated.
