But you seem to be in another world
One I can see
But never touch
                          If only I was good enough 
To help you
To love you
To be there for you
But I don't speak the language 
That resides in your world
                          If only you didn't pull away
Maybe we would be walking the same path
With our fingers intertwined 
As I learn about your world
And I show you mine
                          If only I understood 
Maybe it would be easier
For you to open up to me
And let me see the darkest parts of your soul
I carry a flashlight with me just in case
So those parts can see the light
