---

WELL, IT DIDN'T take long to find the boys in party. Obviously, they were the centre of attention. I didn't really own any party dresses, so I had opted on a denim sundress.

The previously-made decision to stay away from the alcohol was still intact, as I made my way towards Nate, Jackson and Lucas who were all being boisterous.

When Jackson saw me, he ran excitedly  towards me and began to dance. Jackson was my favourite so far. He and I are very alike; we are both childish, loud and immature.

When Lucas saw me, he laughed and smiled, and nudged Nate. Let's just say Nate wasn't happy. A harsh frown immediately unadorned his incredible face.

Nate grabbed me by my arm and dragged me away from the crowd, to a corner where a few girls were gossiping and giggling.

"What the hell are you doing here Laila! I told you to stay put."

"Yeah, I know," I shrugged casually, "I just didn't listen."

Nate's glare only hardened, and the grip he had on my arm began to hurt.

My flinch must've been noticeable, because Lucas pulled him away from me. "Dude, stop. You're hurting her."

Nate frowned at me once again, before advancing into the crowd. Lucas followed him, leaving me alone.

"Cmon." Jackson appeared out of nowhere, wrapping an arm around me and guiding me away.

We both walked around for a while. Jackson was obviously looking or something in the party. I sighed and began to wonder. Why was Nate so desperate to keep me out of this party? It's kinda weird. But then again, I am the definition of weird.

My thoughts are interrupted by Jacksons booming voice.

"Allison!" He calls, to a blond girl who is sitting by herself. She seems to be engrossed in something on her phone; she locks it and looks up when she hears Jackson.

"Hey," she mutters, smiling and tilting her head slightly in confusion. Her gaze switches to me. Allison looks me up and down before smiling again.

"Alli, this is Laila. She's visiting Glieston." Allison stands up and shakes my hand.

"Hi." She says, loudly to match the blasting music.

"Now," Jackson continues, "I need you to watch her please. She has a habit for getting into trouble."

I grimace and turn to Jackson.

"What made you so serious! I'm your partner in crime!"

"Just for tonight, I'm with Nate on this one." He smiles cheerfully before fist-bumping me and running off into the crowd.

I turn to Allison who looks at me warily. "Why don't they want me here? What did I do?" I frown, crossing my arms across my chest.

Allison sighs. I look at her quizzically.

"Listen," she starts, "it's not that they don't want you here. It's the party that they don't want you at."

I flail my arms in frustration.

"But why?" I demand, Setting my hands on my hips.

Allison's eyes widen at something. "You're about to find out," she mumbles, before I feel I gentle tap at my shoulder.

I spin around to see yet another hot Glieston guy. But this one was new. I was immediately mesmerised by the jet black hair and brooding, dark blue eyes.
