The Bucket List Chapter 22:

Media’s POV: I woke up bright and early, I just started smiling. How odd how my luck suddenly changed, from depressed in a hospital to happy with a boyfriend. I got up and changed into some gray sweat pants which were incredibly big on my since I am losing weight like crazy. I put on a Supreme crew neck some white socks. I walked into  the kitchen to see a note.

Media, Sorry I left so soon but I have a meeting in Portugal. Love Dad.

I threw the note in the trash. Typical dad. I walked to the refrigerator and pantry. I grabbed everything that seem appealing and carrying them all to the couch. I grabbed the remote, and turned on the tv. A Walk to Remember was on. What a coincidence. I want a love like that. I started crying half way through the movie and I released that I ate most of my snacks and I still wasn’t full. I reached for my phone and dialed Harry’s number.

“Hello?” Harry mumbled.

“Sorry did I wake you. I will call back later.”

“NO! I am glad you called. What’s up?”

“I am watching movies and having a lazy day, want to come over?” I asked.

“Sure thing babe. Be there in 10 minutes.”

“Bring snacks.” I said. He chuckled. “Alright I will bring everything.” I smiled. “Alright see you in a bit. Bye.” “Bye babe.” I hung up and smiled to myself. It seemed like a dream, a really great one that I never wanted to end. I turned my attention back to the tv and continued watching until about 10 minutes later there was a knock on my door. I got up and answered it. I saw Harry carrying bags of chips, candy, soda, cookies, you name it. I smiled. I let him in led him to the couch. He unpacked a bunch of food which I gladly ate. I was watching the movie while I saw Harry moving I turned my head and saw Harry taking off his shirt.

“Hold your hat there cowboy. What are you doing?” I said trying not to stare.

“Sorry are you uncomfortable, I just don’t like wearing layers and its kind of hot in here.” I nodded. “Do you have an air conditioner?” “It broke.” “Do you mind?” “Uhm, sure go ahead.” I mumbled. I watched him take the shirt off revealing abs and tattoos. My eyes bulged. I immediately composed myself and turned back to the screen. I felt arms wrap around me bringing me down till my head was laying next to Harry’s. My back was against Harry’s bare chest. I gulped. I turned to face him, not really caring about the tv. I started tracing his tattoos, in amazement. I really wanted one, but my mom told me never to get one no matter what.

“You want one?” I heared Harry ask. I nodded my head. “Then lets go get one.” He got up and put his shirt back, which frankly I was bummed. He picked me up, grabbed his keys and carried me to the car.

“Harry we forgot my hat.” I stated. He shrugged as he put me inside the car. “Who cares, you shouldn’t hide who you really are.” He got into the driver’s side and started the car. It was about 4 o ‘clock and I wasn’t sure how these shops work. I pictured scary big guys that could kill me with one punch or girls with slutty outfits and are bitches. I clung onto Harry’s hand. I saw him smile. We pulled up at a tattoo shop and Harry guided me out. He opened the door and I saw a guy in the counter.

“What’s up Chuck!” Harry said. The guy looked up and smiled. “What’s up bro. Another tattoo?” Harry shook his head.

“Not for me, for my girlfriend.” He said gesturing to me. THe guy turned to me and held out his hand. He had dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, was intensely tan for England, and pearly white teeth. “Hi I am Chuck, you must be Media. Harry talks about you a lot when he is here.” I blushed so did Harry. Chuck chuckled (haha). “Well go pick what you want and I will get the room ready.” I nodded and started walking around. Nothing really caught my eye until I saw small black birds taking flight with the words “Take risks and don’t look back.” I smiled.

“Can I please have this one?” I said pointing to the picture. Chuck looked at it and nodded. He started taking out needles and ink and I started sweating.

“Where would you like it?” “My wrist.” He nodded and started drawing the sketch.

“Harry can you hold my hand?” He nodded. “Of course darling.” He held my hand as I gripped it tight. “You ready?” Chuck said. I nodded. I shut my eyes as I felt the needle going into my skin. You think I would be used to needles, but no I still hate them. I gripped tighter on Harry. What felt like forever I finally finished. I opened my eyes to Chuck wiping my arm, I looked at it. It was perfect. “I love it thank you Chuck.” He smiled and laughed. I started taking out my wallet when Chuck stopped me.

“Don’t worry about it, you deserve it.” I smiled and hugged him. He laughed and hugged me back. I pulled away and walked to Harry and held his hand. We walked out the store and drove back to my house. We continued our lazy day until Harry had to leave. He kissed me good night and left. I smiled. I walked into my room and examined the tattoo. I opened the journal and started flipping through the pages, saw the photo booth pictures we had from the other day. I smiled and flipped to the 10th page. 720 days left.

2/11/13: Today I had my first lazy day with Harry, my boyfriend. I will never get used to saying that. It was fun and he kept me company and safe. I also got my first tattoo, it has black birds taking flight and the words, “Take risks and don’t look back.” It was perfect. It fit me perfectly, I needed to take risks.

I put a picture of the tattoo shop next to the page. I turned to the front page and checked off the 8th and 9th option. “Have a lazy day” and “Get a tattoo”. I closed the book. Right when I hit my pillow I instantly fell asleep.
