The Bucket List Chapter 26: I woke up really late the next morning. So I practically ate lunch instead of breakfast. But, that’s alright with me. To be honest, I couldn’t stop smiling from last night. It was the best. Harry went through all the trouble just to make my dream of Prom come true. Wait. How did he know that. I mean yeah it was freaky how he knew exactly what I wanted to do on my Bucket List but in order too. I think I will talk to him today. I grabbed my phone and texted Harry.

M: Hey Harry, want to come over for a little bit today?

H: Sure thing babe, but I also want to do something special with you today also, if you have time?

M: Yeah sure thing, right after.

H: Okay, See you in a bit. <3

I looked up from my phone and sat on my couch. I just stared in space thinking. I jumped as the doorbell rang bring me out of my thoughts. I answered it to see Harry in a sort of tight v-neck and skinny jeans and converse. He kissed my cheek and walked to my living room.

“Well come on in then.” I said sarcastically. I heard him chuckle causing me to giggle. I joined him and sat next to him.

“Harry? I got to ask you something.”

“Sure babe whats up?” He said turning to me.

“How did you know I wanted to go to prom?” I asked.

“Well, isn’t that every girls dream and you told me that you always stayed in the hospital so I assumed you never been.” He said. I nodded understanding.

“But, how did you know that I wanted to always do what we did before?”

“Well… lucky guess?”

“Seriously Harry.”

“Okay fine. Once when you were in the shower, I saw your journal open and saw the Bucket List. But I swear that is all I saw. I decided that you deserved happiness and I wanted to be the one to help you with yourBucket List.”

“That’s very sweet of you Harry.”

“Thanks. Well, lets go skydiving.”

“Okay. Let’s.”

He took my hand and led me to his car.

“At least I don’t have to surprise you anymore, I always wanted to just do it together together. You know?”

I laughed and nodded. We arrived to a one story building with a small airplane and such. We walked in and saw a guy with no hair on his head. He smiled at us.

“Welcome! How may I help you?”

“We have a reservation and lesson at 3:30?” Harry said. The guy typed something in the computer and nodded.

“Please follow me.” He guided us.

“I am Nate.”

“I am Media!” I said. Harry chuckled. “Harry.”

“Media and Harry very nice to meet you, I will be your instructor and jumping partner. Would you guys like to jump alone or with an instructor?”

“Alone.” I said. Harry’s eyes went big. I giggled.

“Adventurous I like it. So how long?”

“Excuse me?” I said.

“How long till…unless you are uncomfortable. You just remind me of my sister that passed away from leukemia. I always shave my head in honor of her.”

“2 years. That’s very sweet.”

He smiled and nodded. He led us to a changing rooms and handed us a large airy suit, goggles, a helmet, earpieces and gloves.

“Go an change into these and meet me the Practice Room across the hall.” We both nodded and went into the changing room. I changed into the suit and helmet. I look so tiny compared to the entire outfit. I walk out and see Harry come out as well. We held hands while goin to the Practice room. We opened the door to see a huge air vent and someone inside of it. I saw Nate walking out of it.

“Hey okay so you must listen to what I say.” We both nodded. “Okay so in order to keep balance, you must keep your arms in a 90 degree angleand hands flat. Legs must be straight out with a little bit of bending. When you are in the air vent if you are about to fall away from the vent, cover your head and roll into the ball until you hit the mat so you don’t get hurt. But when actually skydiving, you keep falling so make sure you stay in position at all times. Let’s get started.” We walked into the vent and Nate told me to jump into the blowing vent. I was timid, but decided to do it. It was intense. The warm air hitting my face made me not be able to see. I felt my self falling so I rolled into a ball and fell on the cushions. Nate gave me a thumbs up and I returned it. It was Harry’s turn and I stood watching him. They turned off the vent and we walked out.

“Okay you guys know how it feels like right? You guys ready?”

“Never better.” I said/yelled still not being able to hear.

“That’s the spirit.”

We walked in the airplane along with 4 other people and instructors. We went up and started flying around for a while.

“You guys ready?” Nate yelled as the door opened. I gulped and I started sweating like crazy. I was scared no joke. Harry held my hand and squeezed, for some reason Harry made me feel better. I smiled. I saw Nate running and jumping off the plane screaming. I laughed. The four other people were really scared and huddled in the corner of the plane.

“You ready babe?”

“Let’s do this.” With our hands still interlocked, we slowly walked to the edge and jumped. It was happening so fast. I could barely see and when I reached the right distance from the ground I pulled my chute. Harry did as well and we slowly went down. We finally reached the bottom and I saw Nate smiling.

“That was great! Talk about YOLOing.” Harry and I cracked up. We took off our helmets and headed back to the building. We changed into our regular clothes.

“Thanks again Nate.”

“No problem Media and Harry. Good luck.” I smiled and we walked out. We drove home and Harry dropped me off and drove away. I walked into my house to see my mom sleeping on the couch with papers all over the place. I walked to her and gently placed a blanket over her and kissed her forehead. I walked into my room and changed into some black spandex and a t-shirt. I grabbed my journal and sat on my desk chair. I flipped to the 14th page.

2/15/13: Today Harry told me he wanted to help me with my Bucket List. No wonder he knew exactly what I wanted to do. It is honestly the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. After, we went skydiving. It was scary but fun. We met Nate where his sister was going through exactly what I was going through. He understood. The entire time of skydiving, Harry protected me and held my hand, he was truly there for me. I appreciated it.

I turned to the 1st page and checked of “Go skydiving.” I closed the journal and lightly threw it on my table and walked to my bed. As I laid down on the pillow, a smile kept growing on my face. I was happy because of Harry. All because of Harry.
