"Has everyone arrived?" Called out Mr. Blackbourne. He looked around the cramped room, assessing everyone's moods and how much he can say tonight at this crucial meeting. Mr. Blackbourne had planned the agenda of the meeting with care knowing that his team hung by a single thread when it came to their emotions and feelings towards Sang. He sighed to himself, 'hopefully this won't cause any serious outrage'. "Good, let's start shall we. We have a few things to get out of the way first. Gabriel, how is Pam after her rehab visit?
"Good, I think. She seems to be more conscious of herself and her surroundings. We can only hope this lasts for a while longer than the last time," Gabriel stated, not looking too optimistic. The others looked skeptical as well. This was Pam's fourth visit to rehab. Each time she came back making big promises and giving happy smiles. But each time she ended up drinking herself to oblivion and landing at rock bottom. Poor Gabriel felt he was at the end of his wit. Mr. Blackbourne nodded and moved on, "how is Erica doing with the new schedule, Kota?"
"She's much happier, we get to see her at home more often, and her tyrannical manager is not around anymore," Kota stated with pride and relief in his voice.
After Mr. Blackbourne had addressed a few other issues, he looked up at his team and sighed. He removed his glasses and rubbed at his eyes. "This next topic is not going to be pleasant for much of you I'm afraid. This has to do with Miss Sorenson.
The boys sat up nervously and attentively at this and started muttering amongst themselves. Some of them looked worried, others got a glazed look in their eyes as if they were thinking of certain indecent things they shouldn't be doing with Sang.
Mr. Blackbourne rolled his eyes discreetly, typical of his boys to jump to conclusions. He cleared his throat to get their attention and started again, "Miss Sorenson has been getting increasingly confused and suspicious lately regarding you boys' behavior towards her," Mr. Blackbourne paused to give them time to digest his words. He only felt like he had to address these issues when Sang herself came up to him last week with her concerns.
Earlier in the week
Sang: Mr. Blackbourne, I'm sorry to disturb you but do you have a few minutes sometime today so that I can discuss something with you?
Mr. Blackbourne: Of course Miss Sorenson. Meet me at the office 10 minutes before the end of lunch.
Sang hurried down the hall glancing at her watch. She was going to be late if she didn't hurry, plus she really did not want to bump into anyone; needless to say she didn't want to get into any more trouble given her track record. It already took a while to convince the boys to let her go alone though Kota said he will follow at a distance to make sure everything went fine.
Sang skidded to a stop at the unmarked door, paused for a few moments to catch her breath and smoothed down her skirt. She knocked and entered after a faint 'come in' came from inside. Dr. Green was at his desk, his face screwed up in concentration at his computer. His face transformed when he saw Sang. "Hi, my dear, nice of you to pay me a visit. Come in." Sang smiled and went over to him. Dr. Green pushed himself away from the desk and glanced around. Satisfied that no one was around, he quickly leaned up and stole a kiss from Sang. Sang blushed to the tip of her roots. She was still very much conscious of her inexperience with kissing and tended to go bright red from embarrassment. So far only two of the boys had ventured into that territory with her, Nathan and Dr. Green. Now that she knew of the intimacy rule they had going, she had yet to find the courage to kiss the others. To be honest, Sang still felt unsure of what the others felt for her. She knew that they were thinking beyond friendship with her but Sang was nervous in case she lead anyone on and caused misunderstandings between them. The last thing she wanted to do was cause conflict amongst them. It would devastate her if she was the cause for cracks and tears in their tight knit team. Actually this was what she meant in her text when she stated she needed to talk to Mr. Blackbourne.
