Sang looked around her new room. She had to admit, it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. The walls were a soft pink and with the rose gold accents and the decorative sconces on the walls, the room glowed with a soft gold colour. The large canopied bed in the center was everything she could have wished for. It wasn't exactly the Japanese style bed that Dr. Green wanted for her, but it was beautiful with light rose gold drapes hanging down. There were colourful artwork on the walls, which glowed like jewels. The canopy of the bed was strung with fairy lights. And as an afterthought, Gabriel painted a cherry blossom tree long one corner of the wall. The light pink sheer curtains swayed in the wind coming through the open window. Sang breathed the night air in and sighed; this room made her feel like a princess.

Nathan came to stand at the open door. "Peanut, you look like a fairy in that room."

Without turning around, Sang said, "oh, Nathan, I feel like one. I can't believe how much you all did for me."

"Sang, you know how much we feel for you. This is just a small thing."

Sang turned to him then. With tears shining in her eyes and a sweet smile on her lips, she held out her arms for Nathan.

Nathan gulped; this girl meant everything to him. He could feel the love shining in her eyes. He felt as if his heart was breaking. How could he not go to her when she was looking at him like this?

Nathan crossed the room and gripped her tightly. He hugged her close and kissed her softly on her forehead. He tried to put everything in that kiss, every feeling, every longing, to make her understand how much she meant to him. He would be damned if he let Mr. Blackbourne or anyone else tell him not to feel this way for Sang, not to go to her when she so clearly needed it. Nathan tucked her head underneath his chin and gently guided her to the bed. He lied down with her and let her place her head on his chest. Nathan stroked her hair as her breathing slowed and evened. Nathan thought long and hard through the night. He knew he was supposed to leave Sang and go to his own room, but he couldn't. She needed him here with her, to share this amazing feeling of calm and beauty with her. No one ever disobeyed Mr. Blackbourne, but he would convince them all that this was the wrong decision. He would make sure that they realized that she needed their touch, their intimacy and their love.
