What to do with her

Sang lost track of time. Has it been an hour? Two? All she knew was that the man, Dr. Reed was getting more and more nervous and Sang was getting more desperate. She wanted a chance to take her phone out but there was no way she could do so without Dr. Reed noticing. Just when she though she would chance it she noticed that the gas light on the dashboard showed empty. Dr. Reed started going more slowly. He was also more conscious of what was behind him. There didn't seem to be any kind of gas station for miles and Sang could see that the car was going to stall soon. Luckily, not far ahead a tiny gas station came to view. It was one of those self-service ones with a single gas pump. Dr. Reed slowed to a halt next to the gas pump. He nervously fidgeted with his hands. He looked towards Sang and said, "Now, see, I'm going to get down. We need gas. But one move, and I swear..." He let it hang there. Sang perfectly understood the implications; he had a gun after all. Dr. Reed got down from the car and he paced a bit and looked all around him. It looked as though they really were completely isolated. There wasn't any sign of life anywhere.

Sang took that opportunity to pretend to scratch at her collarbone. Sang's heartbeat like a drum the entire time; surely Dr. Reed would be able to hear. Holding her breath, she discretely took out her phone from inside her bra when Dr. Reed's back was turned. She brought the phone down to her lap and quickly pressed down on Mr. Blackbourne's app and the red button. It would send a text message with her location. Sang thought for a quick second and also emergency called Mr. Blackbourne on silent mode. She remembered she had done this before... She put the phone next to her, hidden away so whoever was listening on the other side would be able to hear every word. Dr. Reed opened the car door, tucked his wallet back into his pocket and stepped into the car. He looked at Sang suspiciously but noticed nothing out of place. They got back on the road and continued up the desolate stretch of road.

Sang had to keep him talking she decided. The only way the boys could know anything about where or what kind of situation she was in was if she kept Dr. Reed talking to clue the boys in on how to go about rescuing her. Sang cleared her throat a few times, trying to get her courage up. "Please, just tell me, will I see my friends again?"

Dr. Reed was clearly not in the mood to talk. He ignored her for a few seconds but answered, "Of course you will. Trust me girl, I want you in here as much as you want to be. But you have to understand, I need some kind of collateral and you are the best bet. You will not come into any harm, I'm not a killer." That somewhat settled Sang's nerves; the doctor didn't mean to get caught up in this. He wanted out of it; she just ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sang decided to try and placate him. Maybe if she could appeal to his sense of reasoning, she could get out of this unharmed. "Look, I promise I won't tell anyone or even mention anything about this night. Please, let me get off here. I'm sure my friends will find me."

Dr. Reed snorted, "What? In the middle of nowhere? Who will find you? Besides, even if your friends do catch up to you, they are only going to chase after me or get the police to."

"At least tell me what you plan on doing with me?" Sang tried a different tactic. If she could get him to reveal where exactly they were going, the boys will be able hear this and find them.

"God, you stupid Bitch, you just don't shut up do you?" But he answered anyway. "Like I told you, I know some people in the next town who will help me. They won't hurt you, I'm sure you will be released soon."

Dr. Reed didn't seem so sure of himself at that moment. If he was being honest with himself, he had no idea why he had kidnapped her. As the adrenaline of the escape from the dreaded warehouse wore off, he realized that this was not how he envisioned things. He had no idea what to do with the girl sitting beside him. He thought for a while, maybe his friends would have a solution for him. Maybe they could take her off his hands "Now shut up, I need to make a call."

Dr. Reed took out his phone and with one hand on the steering wheel he quickly punched in some numbers and put the phone to his ear. After it rang for a few seconds, a voice sounded on the other end. Sang couldn't quite make out what they were saying but she could tell by Dr. Reed's body language and tone of voice that these people were not particularly accommodative or pleasant to work with.

"Yeah, it's me. I got away," Dr. Reed laughed nervously, "I...I need a place to stay for a while. Until everything clears, you know." He paused for a bit, waiting for the reply from the other side. It sounded as though whoever was speaking was not pleased with the turn of events.

"I know, I know. The others managed to get themselves arrested. I was there but I escaped. I have a problem now," he looked over at Sang, "yeah, it's kind of a big problem...I found a girl lingering around when I escaped. I...I kind of kidnapped her." The other end went silent; and then there was a whole load of shouting. "I swear, it was unintentional, she was just there and I didn't know what to do, how I could get away. I took a car and this girl with me. She's here with me now."

Dr. Reed was sweating; these people were making him nervous. Great, thought Sang. The last thing she needed now was another set of criminals waiting at the other end. She hoped Mr. Blackbourne and the others were listening to this and could find a way out of this situation.
