"Skylar!" Aisha yells jumping in her seat as I walk up to the table.
"Hey Aisha, hey Zayden" I smile at them.
"Hey Skylar" Aisha's boyfriend says back politely with his arm slung over Aisha's shoulders.
"Tori's going to be here later" I tell Aisha as I pull out the chair and sit myself down.
"Yeah she texted me before."
As I pull my Nutella role out of my bag, some boy's over cheerily voice yells.
"Zayden mate! we've been looking for you everywhere, you trying out for the school's football team this year?" I turn my head to look at the voice and Brooks - the school's popular kid - walks up to our table with two of his minions tagging along, I didn't even bother looking at who it was tagging along with him this time, I just turned myself back around and started eating my delicious lunch.
"Yeah I think so" Zayden says and they do that bro hand shake that boys do when they see each other and then Brooks pulls the chair next to me and sits down.
"Hey Skylar" Brooks says with a wink leaning himself on the table.
"Hi" I say bluntly clearly uninterested and continue to munch on my sandwich.
As I look up, I make eye contact with familiar blue eyes. I don't know what it is about this guy but he seems... different.
"You girls coming to the party this weekend?" Brooks ask bringing me out of my thoughts and Aisha slaps her hand against her forehead and mumbles a small 'shit'.
"What party?" I ask raising one eyebrow and turn my head in her direction, then look back towards Brooks.
"My party, duh" he says like it's the most obvious thing in the world. I turn my head slightly to look at the boy sitting across from me and notice he's typing away on his phone not paying any attention to the conversation.
"Didn't get an invite" I take a sip from my water bottle.
"Wait what? I told Aisha to tell you and your other friend- "
"Tori" I cut in
"To come" he finishes his sentence, I look at Aisha and lean back against my chair folding my arms over my chest showing my typical smirk.
"Sky I was going to tell you but I knew you wouldn't want to come so I didn't say anything" she panics. I laugh.
She knows me so well.
"Anyway, think about it but I hope to see you there" Brooks stands up, as do the others "you coming Zayden?"
"Yeah coming, see ya later babe" Zayden kisses Aisha on the cheek.
"No don't leave me with her" she clings onto his arm as he stands up but he just smiles.
"Skylar don't beat up my girlfriends please" he says jokingly to me. I just smile at him and we exchange our goodbye's then he walks off. Aisha groans.
"Why are you scared I'm not going to yell at you, just like I'm not going to that party if anything I'm proud, you know me to well to not even ask if I wanted to go" I send her a smile and she breathe a sigh of relief.
"Thank god"
"But have you told Tori?" Right on que Tori pops out of know where.
"Told me what?" she asks as she sits in the seat that was recently occupied by Zayden a few moments ago.
"Brooks is having a party this weekend, do you want to come?" Aisha asks
"Oh umm..." she starts to blush and re-adjusts her glasses. Aisha and I exchange confused glances.
