Chapter 19: Strolling through the streets of Rome
Clariss’s P.O.V”
Everything seemed clearer now. Life seemed better, flowers seemed to grow everywhere and out of nowhere. Colors brightened, my whole world turned around. I actually felt as if I had known Asa from a very long time, and just couldn’t remember him. Whatever I went through years ago, really didn’t matter now. Oh gosh, I just.. couldn’t explain what I felt. I knew deep down that I liked him.. very much. I just didn’t know how to describe it.
We decided to stay in Italy for two more weeks. We had lots of plans, including Robert that I had now made him my brother. Today we decided to stroll through the streets of Rome. Asa didn’t really know Italy. He knew Greece and France, but not Italy. There we were walking on the cobble stone step streets. We bought some ice cream and headed to the coliseum. We went down memory lane, while I explained Asa the important history of the coliseum. Although he seemed to be very silly today.
“I’m serious! Ancient Rome built this coliseum for entertainment!” I exclaimed
“Haha but what could possibly be more entertaining than “mah lady?!” he answered cooly. The fact that he called me lady made me giggle. It sounded so British.
“Asa!! I’m serious!! Stop fooling around! You said you wanted to hear down memory lane!” I said
“Alright then but, just so you now, I’m not the best student in History.” He winked
I was getting worried. Asa never acted like this, he was acting weird. He was always a gentleman, so proper. Now he was acting, very much like a jerk and self-conceited. I was just gunna let it slip. After all, he is now my boyfriend and maybe he’s just too excited or something, or men intuition? Maybe?
After the coliseum we met with Robert at –Fortunato al Pantheon- restaurant in Rome. We ate some pasta and some traditional Italian cooking. Everyone seemed to avoid conversation which I didn’t really understand. Robert was on his galaxy s3, while Asa was on his iphone. While I was staring at them.
“Seriously?!” I said desperately
“What?!” said Asa and Robert at the same time
“Am I gonna have to confiscate those cell phones?” I told them giving them ‘the look’
“No!!” the squealed like little kids
“I think I’m done.” I said
I took the train back to my house, and went straight into my room. I felt devastated. I didn’t really understand him, and when I said him , I meant Asa. How could he do this to me? Ughhh!!! I decided to open the book I never finished. The bookmark had been there since then, patiently waiting for me to open it, to come back. And eventually I did.

Asa’s P.O.V
Darrnn was I excited, happy. I loved everything about her, I even loved her soul. I had gotten a text that I was to start rehearsing for the upcoming movie Ender’s Game. I was really happy. I would tell Clariss later on. I was really happy; life seemed more fun with her, my heart seemed to be filled with joy with her in my life. I was blissful. Today we went to visit the coliseum which was really fun; I actually learned some Italian history. Beautiful. Especially because Clariss was Italian, that made it more beautiful. After our visit to the coliseum we went to have some food at some restaurant fortunate? Something like that. Weirdly Clariss left with a dead serious face. She said she would have to confiscate Roberts’ and my cellphone. But I didn’t really understand what the problem was. I decided to go comfort her; after all I was her boyfriend.
I chuckled. The thought that I was her boyfriend made me really happy. I loved her. I brought her some gelato and went back to her house. Robert of course, following me. When I arrived to the house, I found Clariss in her room; reading a book. A book called: Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. I knocked softly on her door.
“Knock knock..” I said
“Who’s there?” asked Clariss
“Your” I said
“Your who!?” asked Clariss
“Your future husband!” I smiled my way inside
“Haha” she smiled
“What happened?” I asked
“Well, I expected this day to be a blast, all you guys were doing was using your cellphones. I wanted some conversation, some smiles, some looks, some interaction!” she finished off
“I’m sorry love, it’s just that today I got a message saying that in two weeks I start rehearsing for Ender’s Game!, oh and I’ve got a meeting tomorrow.. I have to be there at 10am. The only thing is that the meeting is in Manchester, England. I have to fly back to England tonight”
“Whaaaat?! What about our day in Venice tomorrow? All of our plans?”
“I’m sorry, this is my work. I love you. Goodbye.” I said while giving her a kiss on the cheek, and giving her a deep long hug.
“Bye” I said while leaving the room. After that, all I could hear was a quiet sob. I swear that cry, really stabbed my heart with 1000 needles. I would have gone back but this was my work.

hello ya'll !!! Its been great, and an honor having to keep this story alive. I made this chapter short, a taste of what comes next. Will Asa's work intervine between his relationship with Clariss? Well.. anyways enough of that ;)(; how's life? I know mine's ood! I started school already which I guess its alright. So how was your day?
