Asa’s P.O.V
The doctor came in and talked to us three ‘fathers’ then we let him know who the real father was. He told us they didn’t know how much time it would take her to wake up. He said that in various cases the person never wakes up and has to be put down to rest.. Forever. My eyes filled up with tears. Luckily the doctor said that people in comas can hear and recognize the people who talk to them. He said that probabilities would rise and her chances for waking up sooner would be if we talked to her every day to keep her conscious. The doctor finally left, and we were deciding who would stay to sleep at the hospital. I convinced Mr. Morcaldi to let me. He wasn’t very sure, until he finally let me. Mr. Morcaldi and Robert left the room. I was finally alone with my lady.
I walked up to her bed and started to talk.
“Hey..so umm, I feel really bad. You have no idea how much it hurts to see you like this. I wish never left your side. I see it only made things worse. I made you suffer. And suffering is what I got in return. I’m really sorry, and you know I love you. I love you more than you imagine. And I promise you that after today I will never leave your side. Clariss, I don’t know what to do. I want to confess that ever since I talked to you, remember that day? We went to the park. Well that that day, my heart told me that it loved you. I didn’t believe it, and I ignored it. But then you know what happens when you don’t listen to your heart huh? You get it the hard way.” I chuckled “Well I know I got it the hard way, because every day I would spend time with you I loved you even more. Love a nasty game you know.... Oh and want to know a secret? I’m glad you chose me over Robert. You made quite a wise decision there.” I laughed “Thank You for being a part of my life. And I know I said this already one too many times but I love you, I love you..I love you.. I love you!!” I kissed her forehead gently and I stared at her.
I don’t know, but for some reason I was expecting her to answer me. But there she was a complete vegetable. It was nothing more but, words in the air. That hurt a lot. I started to cry.
Clariss’s P.OV
Everything was pitch black. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t talk and it was frustrating. All of sudden a light of hope. I heard someone talk, I recognized that voice. I couldn’t remember how the person looked like or the name. But I knew one thing. That I loved him. I listened closely to what he was saying. He mentioned that he loved me, then he started to cry. Don’t cry! I’m right here! I’m right here! I wanted to yell. He kept crying and crying. It made me want to cry.
