"Wouldn't it be better to head towards the city?" You asked as Harry nodded. "I mean at least there's remnants of civilisation there, we don't know who or what could be on those mountains." You continue as a few others begin to nod, including Michael.

Eventually everyone agrees with you and you do a head count before heading out over the baron land. There weren't many of you left, in fact you'd lost over half of the group. It made you feel sick yet lucky, in a way you hated yourself for feeling lucky at that moment.

You walk next to Harry and take your jacket off due to the heat, you can see him visibly staring at your chest.

"Seriously?" You scoff and shake your head, he shrugs.

"What? I didn't do anything!" He protests as you roll your eyes.

"I could see you staring, god you're just as shallow as everyone else in the Rat Run." You were annoyed, but also wanted to wind him up a bit.

"I am not!" He replies and widens his eyes in disbelief.

"You are! I just caught you staring." You fire back as Michael walks up to the two of you.

"Stop arguing like kids, god!" He snaps, causing you both to mutter sorry's and shut up after that.

After a few hours of walking, the city seems no closer. Just a shimmering piece of hope on the horizon.

The sound of groaning and someone falling to the floor halts everybody from their shuffling along, too tired to walk at a normal speed. You turn to see that one of the men had fallen to the sand and was fitting on the floor.

"Someone do something!" A woman who sat next to him shouted, but nobody knew what to do. The man began to fit and grunt, causing the woman to cry in horror. "What's happening?" She screamed.

"I-I don-"

"I think he's having a heart attack of sort." Someone spoke but by the time they'd finished their sentence, the man had stopped moving.

You crouched next to the man and put two fingers by his neck, feeling for a pulse. Nothing.

"He's dead." You breathed and jumped back, looking at Harry in fear. All at once everyone began to shout and the atmosphere came alive with shouts of people wondering how he died and who was to blame.

"He probably died of dehydration!" Someone reasoned as others agreed.

"Why weren't we prepared for this?" Someone else questioned as the group began to turn on each other.

"Quiet!" Harry yelled scaring you slightly, everyone stopped and stared at him. "Look he's dead, we need to keep moving so that we are out of the heat soon. It was nobodies fault because who would have known that this was what would happen? Before we leave we need to figure out what we're doing with the body." He spoke quickly trying to calm people down.

Do you:

Leave the body and carry on towards the city (25)

Stop and take time to bury him (28)
